UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8500
This includes a rare piece of west coast farm equipment.
“1948 Willys Farm Jeep. Virtually zero miles since full rebuild. Includes rare factory 3-point hitch.
Super nice shape and a ton of fun. Always kept inside. OK, so inside is in a shop so pardon the dust – it washes right off, really.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $900
The tires on this look unusual.
“This is a ’41-’45 World War II jeep body on a CJ2A chassis. I’m pretty sure the body is a Ford GPW. No title. I have the rolling chassis with the body, fenders, hood, windshield frame, and grill. No engine, but the T90A trans, transfer case, and axles are there. The It has four really good old Armstrong Norseman 33-inch tires, cool for those of you I to vintage ‘wheeling. Body is average. Minimal rust, has some bondo. The tire tubs have been notched for more seat clearance, but I have patches cut from another Jeep. Must go, no more storage. OBO. I may start to part it out, so let me know what you need.”
UPDATE: Was $3250.**SOLD**
Looks good for the price.
“Mid year 1946 Willys Jeep, Model CJ-2A. Rebuilt engine, transmission, transfer case and differential. Good top with doors (not shown). Roll bar and tow bar. 7:00-15 tires with good tread. Rear seat. Hood and drivers seat needs TLC. Runs great, locking hubs, new battery. Ready for the road, trail, ranch, or whatever.
Can be seen in Orinda. Reply with your phone number and I’ll call you.
Also have no-op project Jeep at same location.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was priced at $2000.
This looks good for the price.
“1946 Jeep Willyz, original motor, runs like a top. Street legal. Canvas top. military tires. great deal just look it up. lots of fun. $2000 Firm.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500
This is a mix of parts.
“For sale is a 1948 Willys jeep, model CJ-2A. This jeep was restored by a previous owner about 12 years ago. The body was totally repaired and is still nice. It cranks, runs, stops, and drives well. The jeep was restored as a military model and does present the military look. A lot of work was put into this one. You couldn’t start to duplicate it for the $4500 that I am asking. It has always been stored inside. It has a clear Florida title.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6000
This fiberglassed flattie looks good.
“Jeep runs great. Body is Fiberglass. Original engine, frame, transfer case ect. Has new fuel tank, lines, sending unit, pump. New carb, plugs, air filter, cap, rotor, thermostat. New wheels and tires.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $900.
There is likely value here.
“Motor is locked up..frame and everything else seems fine….good fenders and hood and windshield..the body tub on the jeep is shot..front seat are savable”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $1500.
“I had plans to fix this 1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A for use during hunting season, but I never could find the time to work on it. It’s been off the road for a while, but I was told the original four-cylinder flathead engine has little time on an overhaul. It cranks freely with no suspicious noises.
There’s nothing wrong with the Jeep that can’t be fixed by any competent shade-tree mechanic. It needs some basic wiring repair to hook up the new ignition switch, and the brake system has gone dry. The bearing inside the steering column is stiff; I have it soaking in PB Blaster. The Jeep already has been converted to 12 volts, with an alternator, and the gas tank is good. The towbar has a new 2″ coupler.
I do not have a windshield, and the seats obviously need new pans and cushions. There’s a healthy aftermarket for these flat-fender Jeeps, and parts are not difficult to obtain.”
No motor.
“No motor, needs work.
Transfer case and tranny is there.
Not in bad shape for the year.
$1000 obo
Five zero six nine seven five five.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000
(10/23/2013) This runs and drives. It looks pretty original, except for the hole in the dash.
“This is a 1948 Willys Jeep, CJ2A, 4WD. It has a full aluminum cab. The Jeep has front wheel locking hubs. I believe this Jeep to be all original, or repaired with parts designed for it. This Jeep is the original Utility Vehicle. It is a quarter ton truck, 4WD; a working machine that is ready to use. You can start driving it and using it the moment you get it.
This Jeep runs very well. It starts every time, even on bitter cold January mornings after sitting outside all night. Our routine is to start the Jeep about once every two weeks. It starts readily every time.
The engine was recently rebuilt. Since we seldom drive this Jeep, it has virtually no miles on the rebuild. This Jeep engine is the original Jeep engine. The gas tank has been sealed, the brakes completely reworked. Our price is $5000, but we are willing to consider offers. We would like to sell this Jeep by November 15th.”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was listed at $3500.
This appears solid. I don’t see any windshield wipers.
“1946 Willys Jeep for sale. Price is as is. Has 4 cyl Chevy Nova motor. Needs some work.”
It has some issues, but it’s only $500. The top looks worth nearly that.
“1947 Willys CJ-2A for sale. Has a fairly new top and doors. Engine is stuck but it has been soaking in mystery oil with the head off. It also has a plow attached and it needs floors. If interested call 203 218 1903 or email. Thanks”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $250

“This a early Willy’s jeep. This is early year with the split windshield that flips up. I can’t give you a definitely year, the data plate was removed. This was a barn find from the mountains. Body needs work but it’s all there. Was going to do some kind of project either rat rod or rock crawler. Just haven’t had the time to mess with it and I’m moving. I do have a 4cyl Willys engine that came with it, or a 4.0l straight six that came out of a 1996 Cherokee that I’ll in. This does not run right now but a great cheap start to an awesome project. Call or text Jon if interested. 720 254-91eight two”
This jeep has landed on a variety of craigslists. No pics provided.
“This is a 1948 Willys Jeep with a collectors engine, a 1955 Chev 265CI V-8 that has been totally rebuilt and bored .030. It has 750-16 six ply tires, a 20 gallon fuel tank and a one piece front seat, it has a winch on the front and there are dual wheel adapters for the back. It has the one wire alternator system, an electric fan, booster springs. A big sheet of metal protects the bottom for rough going.
After the rebuild project I drove it about 5 miles, then a heart attack plus crohns disease made me park it in the shed and I haven’t been able to use it, I have owned it almost 50 years so somebody else should have it now. I have pictures but so far I haven’t been able to load them into this ad, anybody interested can let me know via email if they would like to see them. It has a complete metal body and the paint job is dark blue and gold, some paint has started to peel in storage but a new owner would paint it a color they like anyway. :-)”
UPDATE: Still Available
(10/26/2013) It’s a project.

“Open the garage and cruise the backroads! Be the only one on the block to to own an early CJ, this is the same thing your grandpa rode in. New tires, year old paint, new alternator, starts and runs great, 65 years old but looks great and works good, Climb a hill better than most newer vehicles or ride in a parade! Lots of time and money has been invested.”
Is that a hunting platform on top?
