Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have a jeep project that I am never going to finish so I am selling it. I have a titled 1946 (I think — this is hard to prove as the title is not correct) Willys CJ-2a, currently not running but everything is there –engine, transmission, seats, etc. The body is rough and needs work — BUT, it would be a really fun project for very little money. I also have a brand new set of seat cushions from Beachwood in grey that will come with it. I will also include a spare L-head engine, and a set of axles (Dana 25/44) and another Dana 18 transfer case. I only want $1600 for all. You can sell whatever parts you don’t need to recoup some of the money. It is located in Tijeras (Albuquerque) NM and would need to be transported wherever you are.”

3) 1946 CJ-2A Was $500.
Have a really nice CJ2a tub, dont know what year it is, needs floor pans replaced, good project to start with.

“1946 Willys CJ2A. Runs well. Some new parts, some old. New: rebuilt Buick v-6 motor, starter, radiator, all brake parts including lines, windshield, wiper motor, heater, wiring and lights. Old but not original: steering, extended leaf springs, 11″ brake drums. Has all range overdrive, tranny in good shape, body has rust and needs some work. “Sold by licensed RI dealer. Beautiful frame off, body off, nut and bolt restoration, many many new parts. Jeep shows to be in very much like new condition. Every system and component has been restored. Minor flaws only. Transmission will need attention however. Borg Warner T-90 gets stuck in second gear. Good opportunity for someone. Originally a Southwestern United States Jeep.”

For Sale: One of a Kind 1947 Willy’s WWII Military Jeep (CJ-2A)
This Jeep has been carefully rebuilt from the ground up over 3 years by my father, a retired certified ASEA mechanic. Starting from a sandblasted frame, new-off-shelf (N.O.S) parts were used whenever possible. Every piece has been carefully rebuilt and reassembled – you won’t find a cleaner, or more authentic rebuild of a 1947 Willy’s.
