Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1946 Willys Jeep
I purchased this jeep from the president of the Dick Cepek Company
at a four wheel drive show in Los Angeles in 1983. He told me it had
belonged to Dick Cepek before it was converted. It is currently not
registered and hasn’t been since 2003 , the title is clean. It runs great.

John spotted this great deal. Note the ‘newer’ gauge cluster in the dash. Has toyota motor.
“1948 Willys CJ2A serial number 187738 with early Jeep-A-Trench option including a partial of the well pulling attachment to go with it. It also has a Sneker Snow plow mount (no blade).
The Good:
1) Jeep is incredibly solid top and bottom…. all hat channels are perfect and tool box is perfect.
2) trencher is complete and functioning
3) jeep has an original issued title that is clean (pretty cool as the vehicle type is listed as “ditch digger”
4) jeep has known history.
The Bad:
1) Although the body has no rust, it has had several mods. trimmed here, there, and everywhere.
2) non running Toyota engine installed (the rest of drive train is original)

(03/31/2014) This runs and drives and includes an overdrive.
“1948 Jeep Willys CJ2A. Buick engine, T90, T18, Warn overdrive. This jeep has not been fully restored so it’s not perfect, with that being said this jeep runs and drives. All the electrical works and it has an aftermarket heater. It’s very solid and can be put to use just the way it is or tear it down and do a full restore. Has a clean Oregon tittle with current tags. The only reason I’m selling it is to pay taxes that I was not expecting.”

“I’ve decided to cell my jeep after 25 years of taking care of it.
It works perfectly, all three serial numbers match and tags are there #11809.
Body and tail gate #1821.
Body and frame have never been butchered or modified.
It has four original Monroe take apart shocks, rear seat, top bows, coil bracket
(No coil too bad) generator is original 6volt, with rubber brush cover, and I used a
Ford 12v regulator with the right bolt pattern to charge the battery. The rear end
Has a modified model 27 power lock with custom 300m axle shafts.
Comes with mis spares.”

This project is a mix of parts.
“1943 Willy’s Jeep CJ2A. The original body has been replaced with a fiberglass body. Comes with extra engine and transfer case. The motor ran a few years back, but has been parked in the shop since. Asking $2000 obo.”

“This is a classic Willy military jeep . It needs some tlc really needs a bath lol just dont have the time to invest in it to work on it . My uncle passed away recently and he gave this jeep to me thier is alot of memory s in it we used it as a hunting club jeep . So I hope it goes to soneone who will have as much fun as we had out of it . It does not have current title so Offroad or huntingclub use only. Unless u can reapply for one . The last time its was cranked was 3 1/2 years ago . And it ran like a top but now it most def needs plugs and wires . New battery and little carb work and fresh oil and gas and the basic. (03/28/2014) The hardtop was made from an aluminum boat.
“1947 Jeep CJ2A with aluminum hard top and doors. Unique as they were made from an aluminum boat and look great!
I have not had time to restore but jeep ran into the garage and has been inside heated storage since. Needs brakes but what a cool piece to start with and re-do.
Clear title and spring is coming to get this one back on the road.

(03/31/2014) Nice rear PTO on the back.
“My Dad bought this Jeep in Colorado in 1947. It has been totally restored to near original condition. Original 4 cyl. flathead engine has been overhauled. Approx 45,000 original miles. Body has been totally (removed from frame) restored and painted. No Rust! No Bondo! Factory installed governor. PTO with belt pulley attachment. Bed and floorboards have been coated with “Rhino-liner” type rubber coating. Frame and underbody have been coated with rust inhibiting paint. Seats reupholstered, no top. Original title and owners manual in hand.”
