Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (11/04/2014) Has a couple updates and a patch in the rear. Runs and drives.
“46 Willys for sale. In great shape. Little rust on the under side can be fixed. Floor boards and body in good shape. Interior also in good shape. Has the original engine and runs strong. Brand new rims and tires. And a complete extra set. All fluids changed and filters. Also tune up was done. Make me an offer. No lo ballers please. Serious interest only.”

(01/13/2015) This seems to be an M-38 body on a CJ-2A.
“Making room for other projects.
1948 Willys Jeep, has an F-head engine in and is fairly rust free. Runs and drives good just not enough time to truly enjoy. Just sits in the garage waiting to cruise. Located in Fairborn.
Everything works as it should, 2wd, 4wd high and low. Starts up every single time, even when its below zero. Radiator recently checked up by Bill Jr’s Radiator shop, great condition.
Title in hand. Cash talks but no lowball offers or tire kickers.

“Willys Jeep CJ-2A 1948 Restored Runs,drives, and rides great, New paint inside and out. Front disk breaks, Has locker in front in for better traction in 4WD, Lots and Lots of new parts. Needs nothing. No rust, has lock out hubs, Great condition. Head turner. Has all orig. drive train and body. $6800.”

“I have a 1946 Willys jeep, runs and a mostly solid body. The jeep runs but is a work in progress, the transmission and clutch are pretty stiff from sitting so it does not drive. It has a PTO output on the trans/t-case but no rear PTO gearbox. The jeep is pretty solid and would make a good project. $1500 feel free to text with questions or for more pictures. The jeep is located in Galesburg IL.”

Split Window
Flat fender
All original except seats and tires
Restored 12 years ago. Wiring replaced. Motor and transmission rebuilt, transfer case gone through.
Gas was drained and ran until carb empty. Stored 10 years. Custom soft top made, but sun took it’s toll.
Have doors, top ribs.
Bikini top in good condition.
Spare transfer case, couple boxes of spare parts.
Warn hubs. Original full time hubs.

“1948 Willy’s jeep, 4 cylinder with army style tires installed. Rear end was rebuilt and ran one season at deer lease. Body is in great shape, has heavy gauge steel bumper with tow bar. Needs a little help on seats and brakes but will make a great hunting vehicle or farm truck. Currently painted in camo colors.”

“WOW this 1948 Willys CJ2a will make someone, Maybe you?, a real nice rock crauler, mudder, or just a very cool four wheel drive. It is missing a few pieces. Seats and gauges are missing. It does have a small block chevy in it. I believe to be a 283 or 327. The rest of the drivetrain is stock. The engine is free and turns. But has water in the pan. I am selling it as a project.
