This has a turbo, too.
“This is a beautiful 1947 Willys “Arctic” Jeep that is mostly complete in a conversion to a turbo aspirated 4 cylinder Kubota Diesel. The $1200 conversion kit is fully installed, the transmission has had a full $1200 rebuild by Bobby’s Transmission in Meridian, and I installed a $900 overdrive unit on the transmission. The $1200 turbo kit has only been test installed, and then I removed it to prevent damage while I was working on fitting the engine to the Jeep. The turbo fits perfectly….see picture. The original gas tank has been replaced with a new one, the radiator has had a commercial clean out, pressure test, and paint job, there is a new electric fan to replace the engine mounted fan, and much more. The only parts I have not yet purchased for the conversion and rebuild is either a full brake rebuild kit, or a disk brake conversion kit, which was what I was planning to install. You will also need to buy a set of CHT and turbo boost gauges. I have already purchased almost everything else to complete the conversion, including a new high end billet gas pedal and a Diesel “pull to stop” control.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1800
It’s a project.
“1946 cj2a willys jeep basket case all original but in a thousand pieces. Lots of hard to find parts. Or a huge project with a clear title”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(08/17/2015) The 2A is a parts jeep. The M-38 hasn’t run in several years.
http://westmd.craigslist.org/cto/5174146018.html
“1951 Willys M38 military 1/4 ton Jeep and 1946 Jeep CJ-2 plus lots of extra parts. I obtained these years ago with hopes of restoring or combining to make a ‘MB-like” Jeep. Time and health have not been good so I am selling it all.
M38 flat fender serial MC45339, built 12-51. -The M38 has had its original engine replaced by a F4-134 Hurricane and thus a hole was cut in the hood for clearance. There is a spare hood to replace it with. The 24v electrics were removed and rewired by 12v stock equipment. The brakes have been rebuilt and the vehicle was runnable 4 years ago, but has been under tarp since 2009, and has deteriorated.

(07/23/2015) Needs some better pics.
“1949 Willys Jeep. Original & runs great!”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(03/08/2013) It needs a fuel pump.
“This jeep is all stock except the engine was swapped for a carbureted 225 Dauntless Buick V-6, i’m guessing out of a cj5. Running gear is stock t90 transmission, Dana 18 transfer-case, and Dana 27 axles.
The body is overall in good to great shape with no cancer and minimal surface rust, minus the hood which has had a cowl scoop installed to clear the air filter, it could be fixed easily if one were to want to do so, and the passenger side rear corner was reinforced for a spare tire carrier that is no longer there.
The steering column has been changed to one with tilt, i have the original.
The seats i was told were out of a 70’s camaro.
The spare tire carrier is built into the rear bumper and uses a spare front hub to hold the tire.
It has a front tow bar and an extra 15-20 gallon tank in the bed under the rear seat.
The engine needs a fuel pump but does run as is, i just haven’t taken the time to replace it.
The soft top has some tares in the windows and may need some replaced.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2900.
It may be worth a look.
“1948 Willy’s CJ2A. Original Owner with newer top. Runs and drives good. Solid body and frame.”
Listed as an MB, it’s got a fiberglass body and a CJ frame.
“Willys Jeep MB, year is unaware exactly but is between 1942 and 1945. It has a fiberglass body and a good Frame, and Drive Train for a restoration, motor also is fair and doesn’t run the best but still runs. Many spare parts, also different seats that where in the back of the jeep, the roll bar wasn’t on it, its just there in the picture cause I had to put it somewhere. It does have 4wd, has 4 cylinders, is a 3 speed manual tranny. I also put the tittle status at parts only because there is no tittle just a registration due to the age. I don’t know what price I would take for it, so give me some offers and also willing to trade for a running jeep, or truck with 4wd. ”
No pics provided.
“I HAVE FOR SALE A 1948 CJ2 ARMY JEEP THIS VECHICLE RUNS AND DRIVES NEEDS TO BE RESTORED”

“1947 CJ2 Jeep Willys with a tow bar in front and tow hitch on the back bumper. Owned for 4 years, didn’t use it like I thought. Needs a new battery, haven’t taken it out or a while but when I did take it out it ran great and is a lot of fun! $7000 or Best Offer! Call or text Kathryn to see at ”
Looks like a good price, even if it doesn’t start.
“Have moved and must sell a 1947 Willys Jeep I left behind in the Soo. I have owned the vehicle since the early 70s. It has been not been driven for about 15 years. Engine turns over but I did not get enough time to get it started before I moved. There is also a problem with the clutch.
In the late 70s I did major work on the vehicle. It was pre-Internet and most of the replacement parts came from the Sears Jeep Catalog. The frame is in excellent shape. The front grill, hood and fenders are original. The tub is a fiberglass replacement with the dashboard from the original tub inserted. The windshield is from a later model Jeep.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
It’s got rust along the passenger side.
“I have a 1948 willy jeep for sale. Needs restored. Has title. All there. Some extra’s.”
