Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Selling this 1947 Willys Jeep (CJ-2a) It has been been converted to a 12v system. It runs and drives great under its own power, 3 speed manual with a high/low 4wd system. It has an aftermarket winch up front for off-roading, the price is negotiable so just shoot me an offer, not really looking for any trades. The interior and body is pretty clean. No major rust, clean TN title that is ready to be transferred. Original go devil 4 cylinder engine, brand new carburetor”
This ad indicates it was placed four years ago, but this is the first time I’ve seen it. Maybe still available? One might be a GPW, but hard to say. The other is likely a CJ-2A.

“2 – 1940”s era jeeps (fords) Nothing currently runs, . 1 motor ran when pulled. Other 2 unsure condition. 3 in total Willys L134 Go Devil motors. 1 ran 6 years ago and been stored inside for last 6 years. All parts for 2 jeeps. Plan was green one would be parts. Titles for both”

“Very nice 1946 Willys CJ-2A for sale. Mechanically VERY sound. Motor completely rebuilt 2,100 miles ago. Runs quiet, cool and very strongly. Zero knocks or pings. Locking hubs in great shape. Recent brake work done. I would drive this jeep anywhere (and often do).
Tires in excellent condition. Spare has never seen the road. Bestop top and doors included. Mirrors, seatbelts and brake lights/turn signals added.
At some point, a previous owner converted the windshield to a single pane and added electric wipers. Judging by the wiper mechanism this was done a long time ago. I have most of the hardware (not the inner frame) to convert back to the spilt windshields. Could easily be restored from parts available here for not a ton of money.
Many spare/extra parts/repair and service manuals included.”
