“46 cj2a
Pretty good shape for a 70 year old rig. Motor is stockL head, was rebuilt with very few miles since. I have paper work for the rebuild. Rear end is the rare Dana 44 flanged offset with 5.38 gears – locked. Front end is narrow track disc brake Dana 30 with loc rite. Get in and turn the key. Motor runs exceptionally well, has all the power you’d expect from a L head. PTO winch that works great. Recent wiring upgrade, headlights brake and turn all work, has bikini top and working heater too. Manual Saginaw steering box.”
Mike shared this ad. I am not seeing anything to indicate the red one was a 1945. Maybe the seller means late 1946?
“For Sale – 2 early flat fender Willys Jeep CJ2A’s. The red one is a late 1945 that was originally a column shift but was converted to a floor shift at some point. The grey one is a numbers matching 1947 and includes a full plow setup. Both motors are free and I was told they run. I can get the grey one started pouring gas into the carb but the fuel pump isn’t drawing gas from the tank. The red one turns over but I haven’t played with it to get it started. Both are complete and restorable. The grey is the better of the 2. The frames on both are real nice. The body and floors on the grey one are decent needing some work. The red one has more rust but it’s restorable. I’d like to sell them as a pair. Sold with Bill of Sale. $5500 for both.”
Needs brake and body work.
“Original motor and trans… motor runs good and trans shifts good… All lights work… needs brake work… Body is rusty but all there…2800 OBO call or text ”

“2a that has a Buick jeep v-6. Steering gear moved to front of frame. One piece tie rods. All brakes are 11″ drums. Clean title. The bad, motor and tranny seem to be seized up. The frame is patched and rusted out in a couple of spots. Will include a 3a frame that looks useable but needs rear crossmember. A project or good parts donor.”
This could use some better pics.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1600.
(10/25/2016) It’s got some body rust and the engine is stuck.
“1946 Willys Jeep, last time it was running was 4 years ago, the L head motor won’t turn over at the krank, there has been fresh oil sitting in it all this time, I just put penetrating oil in the cylinders 11/01/2016, there is rust damage on the floor boards right underneath the seats, the 4×4 shifts fine, the transmission in it doesn’t shift freely, I have another transmission that shift fine, I’m sure the one in it would also after its lubed up, the wheels roll, I have the radiator and the wind shield but no glass in it. I just sent the paper work in for a new title 10-31-2016 takes to 2 to 6 weeks to complete the process. The tires are like brand new. $1600, open to trades:”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3200.
Might be worth a look at this price.
“I love this little jeep but I have too many toys so time to let it go. I don’t have to sell it but would like the money. I’m not interested in trades unless it’s a foxbody coupe.”
It lacks parking lights, so I wouldn’t say it is “perfect”.
