1948 47 willys jeep project. Good n rusty but complete. Lots of extra parts. Last registered in 1977 driven daily. I purchase the way you see it, never drove or started. Frame looks solid, parts include two differentials ( rebuilt) two engines ( told 1 rebuilt), transmission transfer case, new carburetor, gaskets and other lose parts. Looks like it was a restoration in progress. The parts alone are worth more. Sold with bill of sale only.”

(10/12/2015) Refurbed, but not restored.
“Vintage and rare 1948 Willys CJ-2a Jeep. Restored with all OEM parts. Motor is original with about 20,000 miles. All new gaskets, electrical runs, seals, seats, gas tank/float, etc. Brand new transmission with about 100 miles. Added stinger hitch receiver for carrying mountain bikes (or whatever). Purrs like a kitten with a top speed of about 43mph. Wish we had room to keep her. ”

I think the price rules it out as a “perfect father and son project”. Seller doesn’t mention it has a replacement body. It will take more than a few hundred to bring this up to “showroom ready”.
“This willy’s only needs a few more hundred spent on it to become showroom ready, all of the original fixtures are present, including the 6 volt battery. The Vin is buried under a weld on the rt. front bumper strut and it needs a front steering strut kit to even up the steering, runs like a pip with all working lights bells and dials. This would make an ideal father& son project. Here are some of the extras built in…
brand new Kaiser shocks, a re-built carburetor, new U joints, suspension and brakes. 4 brand new 1940’s style 4×4 tire’s, with 2 original tires spare.

“1948 willys stock drivetrain with a 1959 Anglia escort body. Car sat for a very long time. Story is two long for this listing but could tell it if need be. It needs lots of tlc. It runs and drives and has great potential for someone with time money and a place to work on it as it is still a project. put in plugs, pts, cap, rotor, new master cylinder, some tires and wheels. Wheels are original 16″ jeep wheels. Brakes need adj, some wiring. Body is good. Wheel wells flaired but no rust after 25 years. Would consider trade for MG. I’m a “Flat Fender” enthusiast and have owned many of these so I can tell you with certainty, that this is the one you want for all the important reasons.
Runs like a sewing machine and has good compression.
Very well maintained. If something broke it was fixed properly and in keeping with originality.
Fresh paint and tires and the steering, brakes and running gear are in excellent driving condition.

It’s a project.
“1946 CJ2A for sale.
Bought it several years ago and completely dismantled it with the intention of restoring it but never got around to it. Sadly, I have come to the realization that I probably will never complete the project so, I’m selling it. As shown in the pictures, most major components are included. Frame, tub, fenders, grill, windshield frame and hood are in very good condition. Includes all major components with the exception of the following: Driver and passenger seats were ugly retrofits so they were discarded. Steering wheel and gauges were badly cracked/weathered so they were discarded. Wheels were not CJ2A specific so they were discarded.
I do not know the condition of the engine block and I do not believe it is the original block, however, it is a “Go Devil” L Head engine.
Asking $2,500.”
