Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “47 Willys Jeep aftermarket steel body, tilt front end, CJ chassis, Dana 44s, 480 gears, a true four-wheel posi front, and rear, 327 .30 over thats locked up, Ported heads, intake, Holley carb, 400 trans. This jeep was raced in the Great Lakes sanction. Sand Drags and obstacle course in the 80s, and 90s known as a shuffler..”

“Great condition, no rust..original engine,3 speed manual..4 wheel drive.. restored a few years ago..alot of upgrades and changes..the original cj2a had the tire on the side..I moved it to the back to resemble a military version..added the military bumpers, lights, new hand made canvas top, and have the back end of the top to enclose the back..I have the military tires as well.its painted battleship gray, also.its been upgraded from a 6 volt system to a 12volt..we built custom mounts for the shovel and axe, a compressor box on the driver’s side, custom tie downs..painted accents and customized details..it’s truly one of a kind..we also mounted the military handles and bumpers, gun mount on the dash.added a roll bar for safety and athstetics.we also installed a tow bar, and new battery, brand new tires and rims..runs great.always stored inside”

1947 Willy’s Jeep! This jeep has been nearly completely rebuilt. Disassembled to have entire frame, tub(new chanels!), engine compartment, engine block (all components), new rims painted in simple, classic black & original Army olive drab. New seats covers. “It was pulled out of a barn . hasn’t seen the road since the Early 80’s. Still has it’s barn dirt. Everything works very complete runs and drives .clean title. I’ve tried to keep it as preserved/ correct as possible. All original minus the new master cylinder,all rubber brake lines,gas tank, sending unit, gauge,soft 8 16” rims with 285 iroks 0 miles,new leaf springs 9 leaf packs in rear ,10 leaf packs in front, pivot brass bushings with bolts,new head gasket.All new parts are omix-ada. Has extra parts – 5 original 15 rims and tires original leaf spring packs and full Arctic top( not in the best shape but good for parts) Original paint.soft top is in excellent condition and has little rust. 1 ton ford transmission(100 miles rebuilt), married transfer case( 100 miles rebuilt), 383 stroker motor (900 miles rebuilt, can, hardened rods, summit racing pistons), Dana 60 axils front and back, four wheel posi, New super swamped 39.5 tires, 15k wench front mounted custom tow bar, Bucket seats ( frame mounted with 5 point harnesses, custom alluminum gas tank, rear seat original. Great for someone who likes quality built performance.”
