Head and oil pan needs to be bolted on. New tires ready for mounting, lots of spare parts, books, posters (some framed from my office), old advertisements, two sets of seats (one from a cj5 the other for a cj2a), cj3a windshield, two engine stands, engine hoist, a few other specific Jeep tools, new brake lines, new brake master cylinders, pads.
Will post more photos early next week.
Make me an offer. ”

“1948 Willy’s CJ2A project. This is a project that I bought 10 years ago and haven’t finished. Chassis was stripped, sandblasted, and epoxy primered. Motor has been completely rebuilt. I have all the original body pieces such as the tailgate, windshield, seats, etc. I had hat channels custom made for under the body to mount to the frame. Frame is rolling with engine and tranny sitting in it. Body pieces are sitting throughout my shop. If interested text me and I will send pics.”

https://westernmass.craigslist.org/cto/d/hampden-willys-cj-2a/6829782001.html
“This is a true antique but will perform off-road better than today’s jeeps. This has been trailered cross country and been off roading in locations in many of the best trails around.
The cj2a is a 1946 but runs on unleaded gas and can pass inspection. Has year of origin plate, ruddy security council, marine radio and speakers, warn over drive, 4 cylinder motor, spare tire, winch, locking differential.
Please don’t offer me half of asking price or ask me questions if you are not sure what you are looking at/ getting into with this vehicle.”
Given the cage, there appears to be some value here.

After WW2, Willys started to produce vehicles that could be multi-purpose. They wanted to build a truck that could complete with a tractor on the farm, so there were a bunch of factory options you could order the truck with.
This one has a factory installed hydraulic lift on the back. This was so you could pull a plow ( which comes with the truck ) or any number of other accessories. It could be disconnected if desired though.
The Jeep also comes with the rear seats and tailgate which could be installed if the hydraulic hitch is removed. “
UPDATE: Still Available.

https://modesto.craigslist.org/cto/d/modesto-1946-willys-cj-2a-rock-crawler/6827536045.html
“I’m currently working on a hand built rock buggy that started life as a 1946 Willys flatfender Jeep. I’m still working on it when time allows but I’m willing to let it go if someone wants to make a decent offer. This project is still a long way from being finished but the chassis is fully welded, suspension is complete minus shock mounts, drivetrain is positioned, engine accessories in place, radiator mount half finished, etc. A lot of tube work, body work, all the small details, and finishing work are still needed. You could say it’s basically a good rolling chassis.
100% of the work up to this point has been done by me over the last several years. The frame is 2x4x0.125 box tubing and the round tube is mostly 1.5×0.120 DOM. The 2” roll cage tubing is HREW I believe. Motor mounts, radiator mounts, most of the suspension link mounts are hand made since I didn’t want to compromise with pre-fab stuff.

“This Jeep would be great for the deer lease or pasture riding. That’s what we were using it for. We drove it into the barn 4 years ago to replace the clutch fork and life got busy and we haven’t touched it since. I’m sure it needs a new battery and probably tires. It does need a clutch fork since we never replaced it. It’s been barn kept”
UPDATE: This is the original patent for the Jeep-a-Loader! The application was first filed on February 07, 1955, by the Minneapolis Freeman Mfg, Co. (Out of Minneapolis??). I am guessing that the Jeep-A-Loader Corporation was a subsidiary or offshoot from the above parent company. The drawing shows that the Jeep-A-Loader was designed to fit over a CJ-3B (perhaps a CJ-5 as well), though the only one I’ve seen documented is fitted on a CJ-3A.
The filing date likely means this was manufactured around 1955, plus or minus a year. The patent was granted February 11, 1958.
This photo is from 2009:
From June 2008: A reader named Ed sent me some pics of a rare find he just purchased: A front end loader for a jeep from a manufacturer called Jeep-a-Loader. The serial number is 1001. The hydraulics system is powered by a Hy-lo hydraulic pump, which has been used to power other Willys devices. You can see an example of a Hy-lo pump here and here. Here are some pics below.
