Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4250.
It doesn’t run. The floor has been rebuilt, but it wasn’t rebuilt to any standard specs, nor does the floor sit over the frame on hat channels.

Has unknown transmission issue. Class 3 2” receiver hitch, great brakes. Body has been professionally re-floored. Larger seat recesses already done. Real nice potential for restoration or just enjoy. The rust-colored 2A is a column shift, but not a VEC. It also may have the Hudson steering mod. It’s rim style is hard to find, too. Not sure how much value is actually here though.

“48 Willys CJ-2A with a title in my name.
Rough shape but all there except interior.
All drivetrain is there. The engine is newer not the original flat head. Has an over head valve engine that I’m pretty sure is bad. Does have a rare hardtop with one door that’s in bad shape but probably fixable.
I’ve owned the jeep for years and realized I’m not going to have time to do anything with it.
Looking for $1000 will negotiate in person if you’re interested.

“This is a titled 1947 Jeep. It has a M38 body and engine. This Jeep runs but currently has the fuel tank out since the tank it came with when I got it was for a CJ2A. I have a brand new M38 tank to install. I have also replaced three of the four brakes (cylinders and pads) and have the forth one plus master cylinder on hand. I just haven’t had time to install it. This sale will include both fuel tanks and the remaining brake parts and every thing you see in the photos and the spare engine. This is a project jeep with straight body with no rust.”
