UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $12,500.
Tom’s selling his CJ-2A. He would consider a trade for a stock 1945 CJ-2A or some other kind of unique CJ-2A
“I have decided to list my 46 CJ2A for sale. It is a recent restoration. I have driven the jeep less than 50 miles since finishing. All body work and paint was professionally done by a custom rod shop. Body is Pasture Green as it was in 1946. New items include:
NDT Tires
Brake System
Wiring Harness (6V system)
Exhaust System
Side steps
Fuel Tank
Seat covers and cushions
This CJ2A also has a keyed coil. Started and generator have been rebuilt. All lights and gauges work. Jeep starts, runs, drives, and stops as it should. Motor was completely overhauled and is a quiet, tight motor. Transmission was worked over and shifts well. This is not a museum piece, but it is a solid rig. Price is $13,000. Clean IN title in my name. Jeep is located in Haubstadt, IN 47639. I would consider some sort of trade deal for a stock 1945 CJ2A or another CJ2A that is in original condition and has some unique features/options. Thank you for looking!”
Body has had a little work. Powered by an F-head.

“I have a 1946 Chassis and body that is a good start to complete a CJ2A. Motor turns over but I have never tried starting it. The body is original steel and was stored in a garage for 40 plus years. Color is a greenish yellow, I don’t know if its was original and has just aged. It has a few panels which I would replace but is in very good condition, does NOT look like Swiss cheese. Chassis has complete drive train including axles, transmission, brakes and wheels. Tires are No Good. It was stored in Syracuse area for a number of years.
It has a few gussets to front frame horns and rear V brace needs replacing. I looked for over 2 years to find these items and are the best I could find. Only reason I am selling is I have temporary storage but can’t keep there long term. I have an early flat fender parts vehicle that can be part of the deal. I also have quite a few parts for various years and am willing to sell them as one lot. Don’t ask to buy individual parts etc.
I have an offer to buy everything if I don’t sell as semi complete units. I have a 1979 CJ5 also that needs extensive body work but frame and drive train are excellent. The 79 has NY title and it runs and drives with a temporary gas tank. I did not register it. 1979 has good General AT2’s all around. 1979 is $2600 or best offer. “
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was No Price.
Brian shared this one.

“Bought from the original family. Frame off restored in 2002.
Was originally a farm jeep that pulled a baler and a spreader. Original owner was a Jeep driver in the medical corps for the army in Europe from 44 to 45…he wanted a jeep for the farm when he came back. Have original title.
Work done: Engine rebuilt, Trans rebuilt, New tires, new wheel cylinders and master cylinder, new exhaust, new gauges, new original cloth wiring, 6 volt generator, correct working vacum wipers, correct carb, new canvas top, New canvas seats, new fuel lines and sending unit, fresh paint in 02 with undercoating inside the body and on all the under-surfaces. No rust out. Original metal. Bow pockets were not reinstalled by the P/O. Starts runs drives amazing. Tight steering, new shocks.
Needs very little but it is going to need seals at some point. They are getting a bit tired.”
Looks in good shape. It has updates, including what looks to be a saginaw box and an M-38 (probably replacement, grille.

“1946 Willys CJ-2a This is the FIRST non-military model. CJ-2a Complete frame on restoration on this vehicle. If you follow these Willy’s Jeeps closely, you understand that its very rare you see these early post-war jeeps pop up for sale. But, it’s even rare+ to see them restored to this condition. This 1946 Willy’s Jeep CJ-2a has an amazing color combination and 700 miles on it since its full restoration.
The CJ-2a was the first Willy’s Jeep used for non-war or peace duty (CJ = Civilian Jeep), but there is no denying the military forces influences on this early example. You cannot help but see the same basic style that brought victory in World War II. An icon like this does not need to be flashy, but the fresh coat of a deep green paint really adds a touch that is typically lost on these jeeps.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,000.
(05/19/2019) Passenger side floor likely patched. Drains holes have been filled.
“NO TRADES-DONT ASK. Very nice ’47 Willys cj2a. Has the original 4 cylinder engine and 3 speed manual. I have a bikini top for it. Not a show piece just a nice driver. Bought this to use as a neighborhood runner in place of my golf cart but changed my mind so here’s your chance. Was told everything was new or rebuilt about 12 years ago. It has basically sat since then. Previous owner used it sparingly. Runs and drives excellent. Clean and clear title. Not a fire sale, I’m just putting it out here. Believe me I have no reservations about wrapping it up and putting it in storage if it doesn’t sell.”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(04/28/2019) Remove the top and you could lose this in a grass field.
