“1 owner runs straight body title in hand. Please no tire kickers.”
This jeep reached Germany vis Venezuela. It’s a mix of military and civilian parts, so it’s not very original. In addition, the body has some odd features. I thought it might be fiberglass, but can’t tell for sure.

“23,900 € (gross)
VAT not included
This Willys Jeep was produced in 1948 and shipped to Venezuela. Probably the jeep served there in the military. The original SUV was recently brought to Germany and here extensively revised and refined in some areas. For example, the electrical system was switched to 12 volts and received a modern fuse box. The front axle got additional freewheel scars. The mounted powerful winch provides even more applications.
Thanks to the extensive work, this Willys is also in very good condition in detail.
Treat yourself to this original all-rounder for new adventures.
We have access to more vehicles in different states!”
Interesting roll bar supports that are welded onto the front shackles of the rear springs (see pic #2). They don’t seem to connect the roll cage. Maybe they help support the body? Note that the front shackles have been reversed.
Looks like it needs plenty of work.

“Rough little 47 Willy’s

I suspect someone priced this based on the KBB.

“Very good condition.
A number of items replaced:
Gas tank, carburetor, fuel pump, starter.
Model CJ2A
It sat in a barn for 13 years.
It was the first civilian Jeep made after World War II.”
This appears worth a look. The hubs seem to be Cutlas Powerlocks.

“I have a 1953 Willys Jeep CJ3A that starts and runs good. I have put all new brakes on it and over $400 in other parts. This is a fun vehicle that I do not have time to use or restore. Great vehicle to restore and you would have a great show piece. Or you could use for all around fun and work.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $500.
Appears to have some Husky/Allstate hubs.
“Willys Jeep CJ2 for parts,No TITLE!
Body is rusty but fixable, no motor, has transmission, transfer case and axles.
You old Jeep guys know what these parts are worth and they are getting hard to find.
Bring a trailer and I can load this Jeep
No title available.”
UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $800.
The VEC body is rough, but this does have column shift parts and a supersonic head.
“1946 Willys Jeep 4×4, incomplete, no paperwork, no title, I mistakenly paid 1500 for this and now willing to lick my wounds after a dip in lake stupid. I was told this is a 1946 as it is a 3 speed on the column, and has the two sticks on the transmission.
Lets be clear, I do not need a lesson on values, on what it takes to re-do a Willys, to be honest I don’t need anymore lessons on anything.
What you see is what you get, there is no secret stash of New Old Stock parts that I am squirreling away.
We almost had it running, lost spark and interest when the rotor fell apart, engine block is good, turns over no problem, and is very complete, was told early block as it has an “oval pad” behind the oil filler.
Has locking hubs, and a pretty decent frame, not trying to be rude in my description, oh well sorry my wife doesn’t like me either, so ill get over it. Its like a 1947 1948, and maybe a 1949
Happy to answer any questions that I have not covered, and this is located in BANGOR PENNSYLVANIA 18013
if that’s not in your Gas Monkey wheel house to get to that’s ok too.
God Bless, and have a wonderful day.”

“RUNS EXCELLENT!!
SOLID BODY WITH ALL ORIGINAL PANELS
HAS RECENT PAINT
NEWER TIRES
LOOKS AND RUNS GREAT! ANY QUESTIONS, CALL ANYTIME”
Appears in good shape. That said, the claim that this is “unrestored” seems unbelievable given the CJ-2A did not come in this “traditional US Military” color. Here is a look at the colors: https://www.thecj2apage.com/paint.html
https://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/ctd/d/torrance-1947-willys-jeep-cj2a/7007725851.html
“West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely exceptional example of this apparently unrestored original southern California example and extraordinarily well preserved 1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A in traditional US Military colors with it’s 134 L head 4 cylinder “Go Devil” engine and full soft top & bikini top.”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $2000.
Given this civilian jeep didn’t appear until after WWII, I doubt it was used during WWII. Looks like the driver side frame rail and the driver’s side of the body has been repaired. Still might be worth a look.
“Old army jeep was used in world war 2 still runs good just had a paint job must be a 1940s model”
UPDATE: Still Available.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8500.
Looks like the gas tank has been moved to the rear with the inlet behind the back tire.
“47 cj2a from Az., no rust, recently painted Matt white no dents or scratches. 4 cylinder flat head, 4 speed T90, hi low 4 wheel drive. Tow bar, roll bar, bikini top. Runs , shifts and drives great. Good brakes and tires. Not a speed demon but can climb like a mountain goat. Always garaged have all receipts from previous owner.”
This is listed as a 1946, so it might be a 2A chassis with a 3A body and hood. The grille is unusual.
