Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. There might be some parts value here. The M-38’s body has been extensively rebuilt in the back.

“M38 and a I believe a CJ2(not sure of the year on the CJ2. The M38 is dated 3/52). These do not run. Good for parts or restoration. Both motors appear complete but not sure of condition. Listed as a 1946, this looks to be a later-than-1946 CJ chassis with a GPW body.

“1946 Willys Jeep. Runs and drives. Needs new tires. The engine was replaced with a 2.4l from a Ford Pinto. The body is in good shape with minimal rust. It has a set of the original skinny wheels that also need replacement. It has the soft doors and roof that are in fair but useable condition. Will trade for vintage cars plus or minus cash.”
This has a PTO and winch. It could be worth a look.

It will need a FULL restoration. However, it’s a solid platform to build from. The frame has no rot. The Jeep rolls once air is in the tires. “1946 Willy’s Jeep, Project car or Decoration piece. Rolling project, no engine. Transmission, transfer case, driveshafts and differentials are there. Also the bell housing is for 350SBC (Small Block Chevy). I might consider selling the transmission separately. Will need fair amount of work. Depending on what you want to do with it. Tires are 30×9.5 R15 LT 6PR. On (Driver side rear tire was not holding air. I got tired of it and bought, brand new tire.) Sorry, No title. Just BOS. Price: $2250”
