The seller has a sense of humor, “the body has been many colors including the ultra-atractive traffic-cone-orange rattle-can coating it now wears.”
“46 cj2a serial #78498. Original color was “Picket Gray” with “Luzon Red” wheels, although the wheels have been painted black and the body has been many colors including the ultra-atractive traffic-cone-orange rattle-can coating it now wears.
This is a perfect entry level/starter jeep. This body is in really good shape. I play with these old jeeps quite a bit, and see a lot of them. This body is in better shape than most of them you see in this part of the country. Sheet metal is all original, no patches or modifications, bubba hasn’t screwed this one up. This is an excellent candidate for serious restoration. Theres still some body work is needed, the toolbox floor needs repair but is still in it (most of them are completely gone), theres one hole in passenger floorboard (above hat channel), and one under driver’s seat/fuel tank location. The engine turns over by hand, and I can source a transmission/ transfer case for added cost if needed.
Frame tag and body ser# tag match, acm is #69097. This is a good, solid jeep for someone to invest a little time into and enjoy. $1800/make offer. Thanks for looking.”
This has an Opel engine. I’ve never heard of that engine in a jeep. Fits nicely. No title.
https://fortcollins.craigslist.org/cto/d/tyro-willys-jeep/7083032597.html
“Cool little Jeep here. No title meaning it’s probably a strictly off-road vehicle. Has an opel 4 cylinder engine with the original gearbox and t case. Ran fine and worked good 2 years ago. Should still be good will definitely need a battery and a carb clean. New brakes and brake lines all around comes with 2 sets of wheels and tires (ALL TIRES ARE VERY BAD. ) it will definitely need to be trailered. I had a blowout towing it behind my 4runner so it will need to be trailered not flat towed now. Unique little rig.”
I doubt this sold at the estate sale this past weekend. Might still be available. Unclear how much value it has. It must be sold, according to the ad.

“Selling my Jeep Willys that was mounted on an International Scout frame. Comes with an International Scout title. Fenders, hood, and grill on the Jeep are in good shape. The bucket has been lengthened a few inches to help it fit on the frame. Jeep does not run, I was told that it ran when it was parked.”

“1946 CJ2a Willys Jeep original motor, trans runs and drives excellent summer top ready to go 4 wheeling or take it to the parade many xtras 9,500 obo”
UPDATE II: **Status Unknown. Was listed at $29,500 in Feb of 2020.
UPDATE: This was for sale in June of 2019 for $10k. Now it’s on sale for $29,500. This is a replica that reportedly was built for the museum. It wasn’t used on the actual show, based on the ads for this jeep that we’ve previously seen. The original Nelly Belle sold for $116,500 in 2010 and, subsequently, for $38,400 in 2018.
(02/22/2019) This was originally for sale in 2010.
(from the 2019 ad) “This 1946 CJ-2A is an exact replica of the Jeep Nellybelle used in the Roy Rogers’ TV Show of the 1950’s. It was commissioned by Roy Jr., aka Dusty Rogers. It was used at the Roy Rogers Museum for the children to climb into so that the original Nellybelle would not get all that “abuse”. We have the Certificate of Authenticity as well as pictures we took with Dusty and his son, Dustin. We are also friends with the fine gentleman who built this jeep for Dusty.
It runs well, smokes a little (it’s old enough and Dusty said it always smoked).”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $800.
A “Ran when parked” jeep that is appropriately priced more like a non-runner. Needs floors at the very least.
