This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This has some interesting mods, including changes to the sides of the body. The back has a mural and possibly the jeep’s former name (Fetch This).

“1947 project Willy’s barn find. Rolling chassis and no numbers. Was used as a sand drag jeep in the 70s & 80s and used to have a 327 corvette engine.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5100. Pics updated on ad. A Reader looked at this and noted the following: “it has a lot of issues: rust holes in flooring, blowing white smoke, not staying in 3rd gear, etc.“

“1946 Willy’s Jeep runs great pinkslip in hand. Insured and registration up to date. New gas tank break lines,cylinder head and gasket. New tires about 30 miles on them.make reasonable offer.”

This chassis appears to have front frame horns and may have a CJ-2A transmission crossmember side-frame-mount setup. Given it’s been lengthened and located in the Spokane area, I’d bet this is a lengthened CJ-2A chassis (or CJ-2L as we’ve come to call them).

This modified CJ2A has a 1972 Ford Pinto engine, modified steering system and a Cj3a windshield. In the past year it has all new military tires and tubes, 15 inch rims, new right front hub, all new brake drums, new brakes, new carburetor, alternator and regulator and battery. Windshield wiper on driver side. Original transmission with added overdrive (55 mph on highway.) It runs well and will inspire you to continue to improve it. It’s a WILLYS JEEP. “1947 Willys CJ2A. Original flat head 4 cylinder, 3 speed. Vehicle ran well when I garaged it 27 years ago. It has been in a closed garage since 1995 except for the last 18 months. Vehicle is complete but in need of a restoration. I primered it when I originally bought it to discourage rust but there is still some decay in the expected spots. Comes equipped with a “Overland Manufacturing Ordinance” hard top which is in OK condition. Asking $3500 or best offer.”
It’s been stored for a while. The body was repaired at some point.

“1940s-1960s MB, GPW, Willys, CJ2A A lot of new parts, bearings, seals, gaskets, U joints, sandblasted frame and body plus paint, wiring and hoses/lines. You’ll have to come check it out to appreciate the work. Has been sitting awhile but will start and run. Good tires all around. Used it around the farm for fun but have no use for it anymore.”
