Unlike the advertising by Willys Overland, this ad by New York City based A.W. Pickett is sedate and forgettable.

1955 CJ-5 AD **SOLD**
Two Ads from a few years ago on Advertolog
I”m not sure what these ads were used for, but I found them on Advertolog.com. They were released during 2001 by Ogilvy & Mather Frankfurt for the Chrysler company in Germany.

From a 1947 Racing Program **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
There’s a neat drawing of a dealership on the back of this program. The Schotts owned a Willys Dealership (more than 1?). This is the same Schotts that would eventually own the Cincinnati Reds. There are a few items from their dealership still around, including this altoy jeepster and this ashtray plate.
1962 CJ-5 with Goodyear Neothane Tires
I spotted this ad with some unusual tires. Anyone ever seen these?
“VINTAGE MAGAZINE ADVERTISEMENT page measuring approximately10 x 13 inches in very good condition, two separate pages of boys & girls fashions, kids ride in “Willys Jeep with Goodyear’s experimental Neothane tires” the text says.”

Remote Control Jeep from 1952
This ad was featured in a 1952 Modern Mechanix Magazine advertisement. It advertises a remote control jeep that “goes forward . . reverse . . left . . right. It’s called a “electra-JEEP”.
1951 Willys Overland Franchise Brochure
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
“non color catalog , 4 x 9 , 12 pages , describes the Willy’s franchise and shows five models plus small photos of Jeeps and others in dealerships.”
Ford Pygmyish Poster on eBay
I looked up the artist’s name, Pettinato, but couldn’t find anything else by him/her. The body style seemed like a Ford Pygmy to me.
“Newly printed photo poster on the highest quality photographic paper . Photo poster size is 16 inches x 20 inches , image size may be slightly smaller . Please see scan for exact image . This beautiful poster is a great item to frame and display on your wall! It will fit in a commonly available 16 inch x 20 inch frame.”
Poster: Help Eliminate Waste
1951 Jeep Sale Training Guide Number 7
This is interesting. Has anyone seen the film ‘Making Dollars and Sense’ that accompanied this training manual (see bottom of page marked ‘opening remarks’)? There are several additional pages shown on eBay besides what I show below.
“original Part Color Catalog , 8.5 x 11 , 20 Pages , Slightly Soiled , 3 File Holes At Left Edge , Meeting Guide , #7 , “Willys Makes Dollars And Sense”.”
Don’t Be A Joe Dope
Alex forwarded me a variety of Joe Dope posters from WWII. I posted a couple several years ago, but didn’t realize how many others there were.
Brochure for Wagons and Trucks
Jon forwarded this unusual brochure that I haven’t seen before. This is a Swedish brochure and not a Norwegian brochure.
Wagon Rescue Truck Advertisement
Jon forwarded me some ads I hadn’t run across. Here’s an interesting one for the wagon rescue trucks.
Vintage Cracker Barrel Ad with Willys Wagon
Battery Service Jeep CJ-2A Ad
This ad was produced in 1947. Was that big bumper part of a service package of some kind? I’m surprised to see it appear in an ad.
A Couple Ads from 1951 and 1957 on eBay
Here are two different ads that are listed on eBay.
This 1951 ad shows two pictures of trucks and two pictures of a farm jeep in action.
This 1957 Ad shows an FC and a CJ-5
M-38A1 Fire Engine Card with the Wrong Date **SOLD**

Someone didn’t check their facts before producing this car. The fire jeep looks good.

1949 Ad from Argentina eBay
Here’s a neat little ad that’s up for auction on eBay. I couldn’t say how rare it really is or if many people collect them though.
“**** VINTAGE & VERY RARE ORIGINAL ARGENTINA MAGAZINE ADVERTISING !!!.- ****
1949 – JEEP WILLYS-OVERLAND #1 !!!.-

Topps World on Wheels – Willys Jeep on eBay
This is a Topps chewing gum card that shows a CJ-3B. At Dean’s Cards, this is only $5.00. I looked for some other Topps cards with jeeps, but couldn’t find any more.
“1954/55, I would grade very good with light wear. Please see scans to make your own evaluation. E-mail with any questions. Thanks for looking!”
Valley Fire Truck Sales Ad on eBay
The Valley Fire Truck Company, based in Bay City, Michigan, converted basic willys truck chassis’ into Fire Trucks. Below is a rare ad from 1957 for their fire trucks.
Willys Overland Dealer Banner on eBay
It looks like this was taped together and then the tape was removed.
” You are bidding on an original dealer showroom window banner/poster for Willys-Overland motor vehicles. It measures 14″ x 37-3/4″ and is a used, original. It comes in 2 pieces. Item is most likely from the early 1950’s. This would be a great addition to your Willys-Overland literature collection. Frame it or post it on the wall as is. I believe the edges originally had glue on them like an envelope. One can see where these were stuck onto a window and then removed. The one on the right has a 5″ seam tear.”
Get a ‘Jeep’ Ad Quebec, Canada eBay
I’ve never seen this ad before now.” This is the actual ad and not a copy of one. It was published in 1947.
1948 Truck Ad on eBay
I thought this was an interesting ad. The two ‘selling’ points in this 1948 ad for the Willys Trucks are that they save on gas and oil & that they have a tight turning radius.
Set of 10 Brazilian Jeep ads on eBay
This auction includes a set of 10 ads for the Brazilian Jeep Pickup. Looks like they have been ripped from a magazine.
“They are original AD’s (not copy).
All different ADs (not repeated ADs).
ADs from 60’s / 70’s
Brazilian rare ADs.
The pages are in big size. Size of each AD: about 35 cm X 25 cm. Can be changed in poster.”
