This Spicer Ad appeared in the July-August 1944 issue of Army Ordnance. Looks like a Slat Grille is coming over the hill at the top of the ad.

CJ-2A Fire Jeep Brochure
This was on eBay a couple days ago. I was tempted to bid on it, but I figured the money is better spent elsewhere. It sold for $25 plus a $5 more for shipping. Neat brochure!

1963 Jeep Family Brochure w/ Ringling Bros. **SOLD**

Here’s an unusual brochure. Note the Desliu tie-in, too.
“Very unusual mailer here! 1963 Jeep sales mailer from Streater Buick, Jeep Division, Lakeland, Florida. Features the Wagoneer, Gladiator, Universal & FC-170 models. Also advertises the new hour long tv show produced by Desilu productions, “The Greatest Show On Earth” appearing on ABC television about the Ringling Bros Barnum & Bailey Circus. The show uses Jeep vehicles and hence the tie in.”
Early Rear Winch Platforms
These two brochures, one from Koenig and one from Ramsey, show two early platforms for installing a rear PTO winch. These brochures were part of a 1947 Willys Overland equipment book.

Berg’s Jeep King Mailer
I found this great old mailer on eBay. It was likely published at the end of WWII, as there are no references to the CJ-2A. You can learn more about Hyman Berg here.
Here’s the front side of the mailer:
I’ve split the front of the mailer into sections so it can be better seen. This part shows a closeup of the front and back of mailer when folded:
Newgren’s Rotary Broom
This rotary broom by Newgren was published in the 1948 Willys-Overland Equipment Book. It was the only sweeper included in the book. The cost was $725.
1949 CJ-3A German Ad on eBay
Cargo & Personnel Carrier Ad **SOLD**
UPDATE: Was on eBay.
For some reason the Willys Export company advertised the Cargo & Personnel Carrier in a German Magazine. Seller lists this as a 1950 magazine. Given the early grille, this may well be the case. This is really an interesting piece.
“Willys Overland Export Co. Universal Jeep + Dorndorf – Orig. Anzeigen von 1950. Original Seite aus einem alten Magazine.”
2 1950 Ads for a CJ-3A on eBay
These two Ads from a 1950 German magazine show off the CJ-3A.
Garwood Dump-O-Matic Hoist Orlando, FL $4000
Steve spotted this unique dump hoist.
“Antique Dump Hoist For Willy’s Jeep Utility Pick up, 1/2 ton, late 1950’s to early 1960’s, with 226 inline 6 engine.
Had this hoist installed on a 1953 Willy’s Utility Pickup, Belt driven, with mechanical clutch.
Now the hoist is installed on a custom utility trailer built with a 1960 Willy’s Utility Wagon Frame and is operated with an electric power unit.
Have engine driven pump, tank, and hoist.
Have original manufacturer parts, installation, and instruction books plus some original blueprints.
The cylinders had to be replaced due to damage from moisture. The new cylinders are of the same dimensions and the cylinder bases were reused to retain the same mounting to the hoist frame.
This hoist will only fit the old style Willy’s Utility Pick up.
Cash is desired. Can arrange for shipping, but cost of shipping is above the asking price, and payment is required in advance.”

1947 Willys Ad from Ottawa
This ad was featured in the May 27, 1947, issue of the Ottawa Citizen.
A few months later, a similar ad appeared in the Ottawa Citizen, this time featuring the wagon:
Wahl & Borg Slide Out Bed Extension
This Wahl & Borg Enterprises ad from the late 1960s shows a bed extension that slides out from inside the bed. I’ve never seen one of these for sale.
CJ-7 Quadra Trac Playing Cards
For the CJ-7 collectors, maybe these are a must?
“VINTAGE JEEP CJ-7 Optional Auto Transmission Quadra Trac Deck Playing Cards. Deck is complete (no jokers) and good vintage condition”
NOS Jeep Ice Scrapers
Thanks to Chris for spotting these hard-to-find jeep labeled ice scrapers for me. The one in the middle will be saved for Rusty. These are more advertising items than practical scrapers, as they aren’t very big. Above them is a 3×5 postcard for comparison.
On another note, Chris also found a set of these. On what were they installed?

Circa 1944 Rare Early 2A Brochure
UPDATE: Thanks to Alaska Paul, the Goddess, and especially Ming the Wonder Parrot, who I’m told was instrumental in finding seed money to support their winning bid. Ming was worried the bidding might go higher and, to cover the additional cost, he might have to get a job. So, no job just yet Ming, unless you want to fund Knardly Rolls.
And thanks to the other bidders, too. I’m honored by your enthusiasm. And thanks to Ted for coming up with the idea!
Ted Jordan has volunteered to auction his rare 2A brochure to benefit eWillys. His brochure, “Jeep Planning”, is one I’ve only seen come up on eBay once before (in 2013). He is including a newspaper insert, which is also a pretty neat, too. What he doesn’t know, and what remains unannounced to this point, is an epic trip involving a group of Willys nuts. My goal is to drive Rusty on that trip next summer. That means it must be roadworthy in ten months. Can it be done? We’ll find out! More on that trip will be shared at month’s end.
This auction was all Ted’s generous idea. Here’s what he wrote: I have seen these brochures sell for over $100 when they surface so Im hoping some of you early Jeep enthusiasts will dig deep and help to support Ewillys and Dave with a worthy bid and purchase of this great piece of early Willys Literature. Winning bid or purchase payment can be sent directly to Dave at Ewillys and I will ship it for free and get it to you undamaged!!!! Good luck and remember this is going to a great cause so dig deep !!!
As a life long Willys Jeep enthusiast and a huge fan of Ewillys, I would like to try and raise a little money for Dave through an auction or sale of a really cool Willys jeep Brochure. I can only speak for myself, but Im quite sure most of you Jeep guys will agree that Daves site is one of if not the best site for anything Willys related.
The brochure I’d like to donate to the cause is a really early super rare Willys Jeep Planning Brochure. Its about 25 pages long and includes the very hard to find supplemented newspaper section of 6 pages that is most always missing.
The condition of the brochure is excellent to mint with no damage what so ever.
I’ve been collecting Willys Jeep Brochures for a long time and this one doesn’t come along very often if at all. What separates it from most of the others is it really concentrates on all the very early Prototypes, CJ2s, Ag Jeeps, and early CJ2A Farm and Industrial Jeeps. Continue reading
1955? Jeep Specialized Equipment Book **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
This look like a great post-1955 equipment book. Auction ends Saturday morning.
“This is a dealer sales book packed with information regarding the CJ-3B, CJ-5, 1 ton Truck, Station Wagon, Willys Fire Truck, Willys Ambulance, Jeep Fire Engine and a very complete list of all of the attachments and accessories available from the Jeep dealer at the time from A frames to welders. There is a sales brochure included for each item which describes the items in great detail as well as some of the installation times. This is an original surviving book from the early 1950’s, not a reprinted copy”
1950s Jeep Sign Batavia, OH **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1650. Sold for $1300.
Great sign.
“For sale is an extremely rare 1950s Willys-Jeep Dealership lite-up showroom window sign in excellent condition AND IN FULL-WORKING ORDER. Sign States PERFORMANCE PROVED “Jeep” 4-WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES WILLYS…WORLD’S LARGEST MANUFACTURER OF 4-WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES. Sign has 3-48″ fluorescent bulbs…one red, one white, and one blue. The white bulb is non-functioning and needs to be replaced.
The sign blinks for 5 seconds and then stays on for 5 seconds intermittently as when it was new. It’s very unusual to find one of these where the timer still works like new… and this one does. The faceplate is near perfect with the exception of one very fine scratch on the backside probably caused when someone slid it out to replace a bulb. Continue reading
