Here’s another rare ‘Jeep’ Vehicles Help Fight Disease Brochure, form number MFS-8-57-X. You can view the whole brochure here.

Australian CJ-3B Brochure on eBay
This is a seven page brochure, but only a couple pages were scanned for the eBay auction. This is roughly $24 USD (which includes shipping) at the current price.
1950’s Truck Brochure from Australia **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
I haven’t seen a similar version of this brochure for the US market.
“Soft Cover
2 pages
Condition: Fair, no writting, no missing pages, no loose pages, no significant tears. Slight marks, yellowing and creasing.
“4-wheel drive Willys Jeep Australia’s Most Versatile 1 Ton Truck Model 6-226, 6 Cyl. “Super Hurricane” Power, Bodies to Buyers Specifications, Made in Australia, ‘If It’s not a Willys… It’s Not a ‘JEEP’ 4-Wheel Drive Truck!'” Brochure with specs.
Scheneker Iron Works Snow Plow Brochure **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Maury spotted this one. Listed as a 1943 Ad, this clearly was a post war ad. The first clue is the CJ looking grille. The second clue is the suggestion that folks could find a plow at their “Jeep Dealer”. It’s likely a late 1940s brochure, as it has shown up in late 1940s Willys-Overland Special Equipment booklets.

Watt of Murrayville, IL.–the other one shows a Mr. Herbert Edwards of Cedar Brook Farms in Prospect, KY…..Nice condition except for some light tan age toning caused by type of paper used nearly 60 years ago. About 8 x 11″ in size”

Here’s an unusual bit of marketing.

“Has some soiling, the middle portion has two weights under the yellow part to hold it down. I believe these were used on fenders in show rooms or shops but I’m not very sure. Made of cloth, measures 58”x14.5””
WAAC Recruitment Ad on eBay
I think it is interesting that there’s rope wrapped around the front bumper on this vintage ad. I guess that was a ‘thing’ at the time.

“The original 8×11″ magazine ad in very good condition. NOT a reprint.”
June-July 1956 Willys News
This issue of Willys News highlighted a new advertising campaign, the “Gets there . . . works there . . . anywhere!” magazine ads (will highlight those on Thursday). Page 3 has some advertising reprints (lower left pic), showing the diversity of ‘Jeep’ ads (I hope to find examples of all of these for a future post). Also on page three appears to be “NEW LIFE” ads that include concentric circles. Maybe that was a local parts dealer campaign. I’ll have to see if I can find newspaper examples of that campaign from DC newspapers of the time. On Page 2, there’s an image of the Light Rescue Truck, featured in yesterday’s post about the Light Rescue Truck brochure.
Ted Bumiller’s trip around the world was highlighted in this issue as well. More information this trip, including reference to a film about it, can be found in this 2016 film and lecture post.
Light Duty Rescue Truck Brochure Form W-F56-1
UPDATE: Dan’s got a good thread related these trucks at the Old Willys Forum. The 1956 June-July issue of Willys News included a reference to this vehicle.
I suspect this brochure, Form W-F56-1, was published in 1956, so I’ll republish it here as we are attempting to move through the 1956 brochure year. My guess is that this eight page brochure was a lunch brochure for the light duty rescue truck.
One great thing is that it has a list of all the equipment that is supposed to come with truck, plus a picture showing how it was organized in the back.
1955 Willys 4-Wheel Drive Brochure W-1772
This brochure form W-1772 (see full version here) is currently priced at $11.95 on eBay (with $5 shipping). It does have a stain on the cover.

“1950’s original Willys 4 wheel drive book 23 pages advertising / sales brochure.

Any issues beyond normal wear and tear that may impact aesthetic value (larger tears, writing, stains etc.) will be specifically noted and pictured.”
April 1956 Willys News
Regarding the back page article, it’s a bit hard for me to believe that the motorhome the Murray’s built on a truck chassis (with an inline 6?) was capable of sustained cruising of 70 MPH, especially given that modern interstates had yet to be built (the Federal Aid Highway Act of 1956––aka Interstate Highway construction bill––hadn’t yet been passed when this issue of Willys News was published).
1947 Beaverhead Willys Motors Ad
This ad was featured in the Dillon Daily Tribune on May 06,1947.
Willys Jeep Sign Lawrenceville, IL eBay
Maury spotted this cool sign. Price is $2500, but seller is accepting offers. Looks like ti was for the Bobe’s K-W Motors dealership.

1953 Ad for the New CJ-3B
This ad was published in the April 16, 1953, issue of the Dillon Daily Tribune.
February 1956 Willys News
I don’t have the January 1956 issue, but this February 1956 issue discusses the introduction of the DJ-3A Dispatcher.
Sierra Overdrive Brochure and Instructions
I found this cool and rare brochure for the ill-fated Sierra Dana 20 overdrive on eBay. It’s printed on 8.5″x11″ paper, so the marketing budget must have been tight (as I understand it, working capital was an early issue, which played a part in the demise of the company). A few years ago there was a post of an article that also highlighted this rare overdrive.
The following instructions and schematics were tucked inside the brochure above:
1947 Janney’s Toys’ Ad on eBay
The price of the paper ad from a Janney’s Toys catalog(?) seems crazy to me, but the ad is a neat bit of info if you own one of these two jeep toys.
1956 March/April(?) Globe-Trotter Magazine
This issue of the Globe-Trotter is undated, but I’m guessing it is the March/April 1956 issue. I’ve published some of this a few years ago. Here is the whole issue.
1977 Brochure for AM General on eBay
This brochure provides a good overview about how a division of Kaiser Industries began with in civilian government business with the successful post office bid (FJ-3s) in 1960. By 1971, the unit had produced a wide range of government vehicles. That year, American Motors incorporated the business unit into the wholly owned subsidiary AM General Corporation.

1956 CJ-5/CJ-6/CJ-3B Export Brochure Form W-250-6X
This 1956 CJ-5/CJ-6/CJ-3B brochure targeted the export market. It’s form number is Form W-250-6X, however it looks nothing like it’s Form W-250-6 CJ-5 brochure counter part. It’s larger and folds out to 17″ x 22″ (vs 17″ x 11″ for the domestic version). Why re-use the form number, but make the brochure wholly different from the domestic brochure? I haven’t a clue.
