“WILLYS FC150, 1959

The four-wheel drive FC-150 Forward Control Jeep has the cab situated well forward of the engine to provide more than six feet of cargo bed length despite the 81-inch wheelbase. Overall length was 147.5 inches, two inches shorter than the Nash Metropolitan and 38 inches shorter than a Chevrolet half-ton pickup. Classified as a 3/4-ton unit, though the chassis was basically that of a CJ-5 Jeep, the FC-150 was originally powered by the four-cylinder F-head Hurricane engine producing 75 horsepower and 114 pounds-feet of torque. It now has the 1985 Ford T-Bird fuel injected four-cylinder engine installed.

“I have a RARE 1966 Jeep FC150. Restoration has been started doors being repaired and primed, and new fenders made for the bed. The glass is all intact. The truck is complete (as far as I can tell) although the bed and front bumper have been removed. The motor ran when it was parked several years ago. The duals in the picture are just two rims bolted together for greater stability when it was towed, the truck was not altered to mount them. I also have the title.”

“YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 1962 WILLYS JEEP FORWARD CONTROL. THE TRUCK WILL RUN AND  DRIVE. THE 4 WORKS AS YOU WILL SEE IN THE PICTURES. IT HAS A NEW ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP. AND GOOD BATTERY. THE WOOD BED IS BAD. IT WILL NEED SOME WORK. THE GLASS LOOKS OK AND THERE IS 30 SOME THOUSAND MILES ON IT. IT HAS LOCK OUT HUBS THAT WORK. SEATS ARE OEM THEY WILL NEED RECOVERED. GEAR RESTORATION  PROJECT. ALL BLEEDER VALVES WORK ON THE BRAKES. THE TRUCK WAS DROVE TODAY AND THE MAN I GOT IT FOR SAID HE DROVE IT 2 WEEK AGO. THE MOTOR IS A SUPPER HURRICANE 6. “1961 Forward Control Jeep Pickup.  Jeep is pretty solid, with lots of surface rust.  Runs really good, but not real fast.  Mileage may or may not be in excess of 100,000.The windshield and back window look good….side windows are cracked.  Like new radial tires.  Four wheel drive works fine.  Has rust on the corners of the dash.  I have new fabric to cover the dash once repaired.  This is a VERY RESTORABLE little truck, or drive it as is.  These are not real common.  Delivery available for a fee….Email for a quote.”

This is a project.

“Here is your next project.

1957 Jeep FC150. This will need a TOTAL restoration and will need to be towed.

It has the 134 Hurricane 4 cylinder and is 4 wheel drive. I was told the engine ran and it looks to be complete (and not stuck).

Needs extensive body work, Drivers side rear lug nuts have all broken off, so will need new studs to roll. (have a fork lift available to help load onto your trailer)

The frame and drive train all look like they are in good shape. I do have some extra parts that go with it like a spare dash and instrument cluster, spare heater, brake controls with master cylinder, clutch pedal assembly, a few glass pieces.

This project is not for the faint of heart, but when done, it will be a head turner! I get comments on it sitting in my shop all the time!

I need the space in my shop. I am putting it on here for a few days and if it does not sell within this time frame, I am going to pull the ad and move it back to my house and slowly work on it when I have the time. I have too many projects that take priority over this one so I would really like to see this go to someone who is going to be able to put the work into it rather than let it sit.

I do not NEED to sell it, so fairly firm on the price with only a little room to negotiate. (no offers for half of asking price).

I would be willing to consider a trade for an inverter type TIG welder with high frequency start that can weld aluminum or a large media blasting pot with deadman controls. Might consider a trade for guns.

It has the keys and a clear title.

$1000 or best REASONABLE offer. As I said, if it does not sell, I will put it in my garage at the house and let it sit until I can get the time to work on it. I am taking a loss at my asking price.
