“We have a 1957-1965 Jeep Forward FC170 Truck for sale. The vehicle is 4WD, has a 6 cylinder Flat Head and a 3-speed manual transmission in it. The vehicle runs but has been parked. Odometer reads at 38k. The tires on the truck are in excellent/like new condition.”
I suspect it doesn’t run.

“I have 2 1957 FC-150’s for sale as a package. The red one is out of Montana and is a great rust free rig. There is no engine and tranny, everything else is there. The white one is from Utah and it has very little rust. The red passenger door is a little rough, but the white passenger door is good. The bed on the red one is in really good condition.”

“Runs and drives great… feels a little strange bc your over the front wheels.. and it is geared to be a utility vehicle.. takes some getting used to… but it sure gets alot of looks.. the 4×4 all wotks great…
Still connecting up ebrake.. just waiting for new cable I bought.. thats coming in the mail.. and otherwise i have all the stuff.. just needs to be done… the drum and all that is there and ready to be connected… as is the handle… Just needs line connected..
I just finished installing the wipers.. not shown in pics but they are there and working..

“Rare 1963 FC Jeep Cab Over with 6 cylinder Flat Head Hurricane. Pennsylvania Barn Find. Yes, it runs. All original parts! Used on family farms in Dorrance Township, PA and Hollenback Township, PA for last 20+ years. Used as a sawmill truck near Red Rock, Pa before that. Original paint is blue. It appears that sawmill operator painted it red. Recent owner (farm family), brush painted it white.”

“1957 jeep fc150 forward controll 4 cyl engine with rebuilt carb it fires up and runs good it needs the brakes , cooling , fuel system to be gone through but I believe you can drive it at that point . This is a complete chassis of an FC (forward control) 170.
It has all the original drive train including the oil bathed air cleaner, generator, and starter.
It has a super hurricane flat head 6-cylinder engine.
It has a T90 3-speed transmission and a T18 transfer case.
It has a Dana 44 front axle, a Dana 50 rear axle.
The motor turns over, and it will probably run.
What is left of the cab is the steering column, original seat frames, and vin plate.”
The photo below appeared in a 1958 article from the Spokesman-Review. The article below comes from a November 29, 1956 article in the Toledo Blade that announced the FC’s introduction.
The Red 1961 FC-170 is priced at $2800. The White FC next to it is $1800. An FC-150 (not shown) might also be for sale.
“1961 forward control (the red one) …too many projects – not enough time… I bought this to restore as the original Green Bay & Western Railroad service jeep that it is .Restoration was started, the rusty metal was removed from the cab and the bed was sandblasted and primed but needs the rust cut out. it runs but has no brakes. Both have clear titles. The white one is all original untouched. might sell for $1800, it also runs and drives needs brake work also. Have an fc 150 (short bed 1/2 ton) for parts. Buddy, my partner (the dog) is 12 years old and not for sale….thanks, Chris….NOTE, the dated pics are of the white jeep.”
