Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Yes, it’s a Willys! 1951 vintage with original 4 cylinder running engine, 3-speed manual, working high/low range, lights, and 2wd/4wd. (Between 1946 and 1953 only 132,000 were made.) The fuel tank has been reconditioned and certified. There is some “play” in the steering. Brakes are good. Could use a new muffler or tailpipe. Hey, it’s not show class pretty, but it works! Clear, clean title but not currently licensed. Has been a workhorse on an Idaho ranch for many years! Lots of sentimental memories! Want it to go to a “Jeep-lover” home/ranch! Odometer is not working. Price may be slightly negotiable”

()6/18/2016) Seller notes that jeep was originally restored at a jeep dealership.
“Jeep 1952 CJ3-A in excellent condition. Third owner; bought from Jeep dealership owner that restored and owned for years. Jeep in all original condition except side mirror. All new tires, brakes, lines and master cylinder. Everything works – light, heater, horn. Completely rebuilt PTO with Ramsey 8000 lb period correct winch. Winch being put together, PTO installed. Includes new bearings, seals and chain on PTO. Beautiful rare find. Firm on price. Thanks for looking.”

Stainless floor board. Stainless gas tank. Stainless body except front. New brakes. Battery tray with optima. Still the L head motor and factory running gear. Motor was rebuilt and then I bought it to fix up. Maybe 20 hrs on the motor. Cb. Gauges. Steering. Seats. Lights. And 12 volt conversion”
