The seller lists this as a 2A, but looks to me to be a 3A. This looks like an excellent project for the price.
“I have a 1949 Willys Jeep available for sale. It runs, but the fuel pump needs to be rebuilt (we were able to confirm that the engine is good by delivering gas straight into the carburetor). It also currently does not have brakes, although I have a brand new master cylinder and brand new wheel cylinders to go with it–these parts just need to be installed. It comes with a snowplow, but the hydraulic system for it needs to be overhauled. My grandfather found the Jeep in a salvage yard a number of years back and brought it back to life so that he could use it to haul wood around on our family farm. However, he passed away several years ago and the Jeep hasn’t been used much since then. This is a good project Jeep–everything is there; it just needs some work to get it back into good condition, and we don’t have the time to put into it. We will be demolishing the farmhouse and garage where it is currently being stored, so we’re forced to get rid of it. Other issues I can see with the vehicle: the windshield is cracked, the cooling system probably needs to be flushed, and the interior needs reupholstering.”

“A rare, working, 1952 Willys Jeep CJ2A with an Auburn Jeep-A-Trench trencher. It will dig a trench 6″ wide and 46″ maximum depth. The trencher was made in Auburn, Nebraska by a company that is still in existence today. I have used this trencher 3-4 times a year for the past 6 years. It has been kept in a barn, each time I just put battery in it and it is ready to go. I have used it for installing water lines, electrical lines, drainage tile and rain water downspouts. It was previously owned by a local plumber. It is simple to use and once digging is started you just stand back and watch it work. It runs great and has not overheated in our hot and humid Kansas summers. Brakes are soft and steering is stiff but you’re really not going to drive it any distance anyway. It is self propelled via creeper gears and the digging outrigger can be raised and lowered via an electric motor. All of the standard Jeep CJ2A features are still retained. It was converted to 12 volt then the trencher unit was added at the factory along with a Governor to regulate engine speed, a PTO unit, an additional drive shaft, heavy springs and frame stiffeners. Exact mileage unknown, but it can’t be to high because the trencher has been on it since day one. Comes with spare parts including extra trencher teeth and chain links and owner guide. Have a clear title. Sold AS IS, no warranty. Also for sale locally. I will not deliver. If you arrange shipping I will assist with loading. The Body has not been touched since I purchased it 10 years ago, it is painted Red and has some signs of rust under the paint and a few small dents and dings, The frame is straight.
All body lights work along with headlights and brake lights.
The jeep is a CJ 2A ( has ID tags) with one exception the farmer I bought it from put a Cj 3a windshield frame on it. The glass in the frame has been replaced with new glass and new wipers were installed the wipers work off compression of the motor.
The Tub itself from the outside is in fair shape, the seats are newly covered and have no ware or tare . The floor in the tub is plated and the seats are NOT mounted correctly as per the year and model.
This jeep is 100 percent mechanically good to go. I have no more time to put into this jeep, it has been garage kept since I bought it.”
