Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This runs. It’s got a late model 2A grille. The data plates look to be early CJ-2A at around 28XXX. The steering column had a shifter, but it’s been converted to a floor shifter. This last tool indents. So, I suspect at least some of this is early CJ-2A.

Bill spotted this refurbed jeep listed as a 1948 CJ-3A. It looks in good shape for the price. The engine has a 3A/M-38/DJ-3A oil filter holder, so either the year or the model is incorrect.

One of these is listed as a 1941, but both look civilian to me. The blue jeep appears to be an ex racer.

This is a mix of parts, including a DJ-3A body, a CJ-2A windshield and an M-38 grille. The chassis might be DJ-3A as well.

“46 Willies CJ2A. 231 V6. New battery, radiator, carburetor, ignition, headlights, fuel tank, and fuel lines with filters. Runs great. Has been in doors for many years. Rough around the edges with some light body damage over the years. Comes with a roll bar and soft top with doors and an overdrive to add on. Still working on electrical for light and dash system. Not interested in negotiating since it’s coming into car season and I can sell it later.”
