Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Listed as a 1948, the body appears to be a VEC, probably ’46. It has an early grille, too.

“Body is roached but frame is in great shape. Engine has a ton of new parts and runs great. All fluids have been changed recently. It has new shocks all the way around. It drives and shifts through all the gears. Brake master cylinder is bad so no brakes but it comes with a new one. I have the title in hand. It also comes with a bunch of extra parts. Located in Winchester, Indiana asking $4,000 FIRM trades possible.”

“Cj2a late 46 with f head motor. Still all 6v. Has some patches in floors. Mostly there. Missing tail gate and needs floors. Probably doesn’t run. Don’t care. Parts truck. Selling as is where is. No title. If the adds up it’s for sale. Offers will be ignored cash and carry only. $800 is what I’ll get in parts so I’m firm on the price. Don’t like it? Find another one. “The good= The jeep runs and moves, all the lights work (including blinkers), frame is solid. New parts= radiator, alternator (12v system), brake lines, brake master cylinder, gas tank, seat frame, light switch Engine isn’t original. Currently has the f head hurricane four cylinder engine. Hood doesn’t clear carburetor so that’s why the hood is off.
The bad=Floor has rust holes and a spot that someone cut out above transmission, will probably need new brake pads and drums all the way around, there is pressure at brake pedal but brakes dont work (pistons could also be stuck), transmission needs a new tail shaft seal, and exhaust needs work. Make me an offer that wouldn’t surprise your mother”

“Jeep Sand / Mud Drag Racer 4 X 4 – NO ENGINE Old School Jeep Sand / Mud Dragger from the late 80’s $2500 / open to offers or trade for AMC stuff. NO TITLE for this rig, it was special built for off road use only. This was last raced in about 1991. Transfer case broke and the Jeep has sat in the barn since. I have many more pictures that I can send to a serious buyer. Complete minus the engine. Set up for small block Chevy. TF 727 Trans with manual clutch conversion kit. (no torque convertor) Ford 9″ rear with 5.88 gears (approximate) Dana 20 transfer case that the case is broke but comes with another transfer case. Comes with the tires and rims, but obviously the tires are no good due to age/rot.”
