Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This has the Pontiac slant 4. That’s the engine I wanted for Biscuit.
“This is a one of a kind project. The motor is a 195.5 slant 4 Pontiac, 389 cut in 1/2. This motor was designed by John Delorian,and is capable of 300 hp asperated & 500 hp supercharged. The motor came only in the 1961 and 1962 Pontiac tempest. I am in a tight spot and must sell.”

This looks to be a good price. It has a WWII engine (or at least head) and a rare JC Whitney (uncut?) 3B body.

The engine is a 4 cylinder flat head and the transmission is a manual. The engine was gone through and was honed and align bored but never started. This is a project with lots of potential. Looks like a solid jeep with some updates, but it’s not “a well-preserved example of a CJ-2A”. IT may have a military body.
