Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “The Jeep is is great shape for being almost 70 years old. It has a Chevy 350 in it, aftermarket steering, new tires and winch, new seats. This Jeep has the original three speed so it’s just a cruiser on the road. Needs a little love here and there. I would love to trade for something in the Offroad world. Selling my 1948 CJ2A ‘Lefty.’ Added some additional info today to clear up confusion and answer questions, plus added new photos from 12/14. Original motor although the Willys is not all original. Motor runs well but could use brake and carburetor work like most need. Some added plate in rear bed and complete with soft top. Spoke wheels shown are on vehicle, 5 additional steel wheels go with rig for right price. The 5 additional regular rims come with OLD snow tires that are not usable. Year of manufacture license plate from Spokane county stays with the jeep so you don’t need to register every year. I do have a roll bar that can be included if desired. Please direct questions or interest to the ‘Reply To’ address or text as shown and please let me know your email for replies. With the busy season, I will get back to you as soon as I can”

Bill shared this one. The 814 original miles claim is a hard one to believe. Maybe 814 miles after the third rebuild and before the speedometer cable broke.

“Project. Not currently driveable. Will need to be trailered. Needs engine and brake work to be started and stopped. I have driven it. It shifts through all the gears, low/high works and 2wd/4wd works. Some extra parts and original wheels/tires included. The picture makes the body look better than it actually is. Paint is blue peal coat over mostly bare metal. Topper is black Rustoleum. A better paint job with some body work would do a lot for it. With that said, it is definitely still a solid vehicle for 70+ years old. Has dings, dents and old repairs. A few small rust holes in the floor. All is common, repairable and no biggie. Needs to be seen in person to appreciate and evaluate it’s condition for yourself.
