(07/26/2012) I’m gonna guess that this is a M-38 body and front clip on a CJ-2A frame and possibly drive train. The gas inlet looks more civilian than military though. The tailgate is civilian, too.

I has boxed frame horns and a correct dash with the hand brake in the right place – I’d guess it is mostly M38 – the tailgate isn’t – the wheels might not be and the gas tank looks to be CJ, but something is odd – looks like a big tank with a small filler and the driver seat is modified to have more belly room – all in all it looks good in pictures. I wonder if it has replacement sheet metal – not a dent in sight?
