UPDATE: Status Unknown.
“Parting out my 1964 Willy’s Jeep CJ-6. TUB with Stamped Willy’s Tailgate. Some rust in tub under where the gas tanks were. Rear fenders have some dents. Windshield is in great shape. I have the TITLE to accompany TUB)
TUB $350
WINDSHIELD $100
TAILGATE $50
HOOD $200
FENDERS/GRILL $100
ROLL CAGE $40
OR ALL PARTS FOR $700 OBO.”
Probably sold, since it’s not listed on craigslist anymore. But it looks like an M-170, since it has the battery box in the cowl. Also noticed that it had a right hand fuel tank.
Thanks for the update Terry.
The CJ-5s and CJ-6s were made with the cowl boxes, though I don’t have exact years on when that practice ceased. Here are some examples from a “1964 CJ-6” image search: https://www.google.com/search?q=cj6+1964&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=IBf&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&prmd=imvns&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=MCwjULOlD6T2iwKy6YGYDQ&ved=0CD8Q_AUoAQ&biw=1016&bih=944
The M-170 body would have a larger passenger side opening with a different floor. I double checked the Craigslist link and it appears to have expired rather than been deleted. That might mean it is still available. Unfortunately, no phone number or email was included in the listing.
