UPDATE: Was on eBay. **SOLD** Might have been used in the movie Prince Avalanche.
The seller just bought this, but now wants to sell it. No indication as to why. I’ve never seen one with a top like this (but I don’t’ follow them too closely).
“This is a great deal. I purchased this jeep 2 months ago for $6000, but now I need to get rid of it.
Runs really well.
THIS IS A VIETNAM ERA JEEP WITH AN AFTERMARKET BODY AND ALL M151A-2 RUNNING GEAR AND POWER PACK.
THE ACTUAL YEAR IS UNKNOWN, PROBABLY IN THE 70’S, AND IT IS TITLED AS A 1993 WHICH IS PROBABLY THE YEAR THE BODY WAS MANUFACTURED.
PAINT IS PRESENTABLE BUT CLEAR COAT IS PEELING IN PLACES, SOME SCRATCHES, AND NO MAJOR RUST.
THIS BODY IS QUITE TRUE TO THE ORIGINAL AND MUCH HEAVIER GAUGE STEEL.
ORIGINAL FUEL TANK IS OUT OF VEHICLE AND WILL NEED TREATMENT FOR RUST REMOVABLE AND INSPECTION FOR ANY LEAKS – IN THE MEANTIME A NEW 7.5 GALLON MARINE POLY TANK IS BEING USED. NEW TIRES, NEW SEATS, NEW BATTERIES (ORIGINAL 24 VOLT SYSTEM),REMOVABLE HALF CAB WITH PLEXIGLASS WINDOWS (ORIGINAL FOLD DOWN GLASS WINDSHIELD), NEW REAR UJOINTS, 4 SPEED TRANNY WITH SHIFT ON THE FLY FRONT TRANSFER FOR 4 WHEEL DRIVE”
It looks like the M151 used in the movie “Prince Avalanche”.
I believe you are correct. Or, it’s an exact copy.
Here’s a link to photos from the movie:
