UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5500.
UPDATE: Still Available. There’s another example of the extended rear. See this post from 2014.
(04/06/2012) “1953 extended bed Willys. 4×4, original engine, new tires, added: removable rear seat, roll bar, attached front tow-bar. Asking price: $5,500.00”
They do all that work and couldn’t level out the front end? Goofy looking
Wow!
OK, how does it look bent but not bent? Weird.
5500.00 lol more like 300.00 parts.
i have one just like this. I always wondered if it was done at the factory. This proves to me that it was done at the factory. Mine even has the rivets in the extension like this one.
If anyone has one like it, or any info on it please contact me. Mine does not have the bent front end.
John,
That’s fascinating. I would love to see pictures of how it was done. I’d like to document how it was done for others in case they have questions. eMail me at d@ewillys.com if have an interest in sharing the info.
Thanks,
– Dave
The chassis is bent badly at the firewall, that’s a write-off! It must have made a bad jump or something, i wonder if the front axle is still straight… !
Its a piece of junk,
It would be interesting to know why it’s bent. It turns out there might be some interesting history here. More later.
It has an improved approach angle now
