SOLD.  Was available for $5500.

Scott spotted this jeep.  Looks solid, but the seller notes it needs the rear floor replaced.

“1952 Willys M38 Military Jeep. New Jersey Title. Runs, Drives , Stops. Still 24 volt. All Military Data Tags. Warn lockout hubs. Does not jump out of gear. Recored Radiator. New Brake Shoes. Rebuilt wheel cylinders and master cylinder. New Exhaust pipes. CJ motor, not MC motor. Gamma Goat Directionals. Needs rear floor replaced will include 90 Amp. Flux Core welder. Will trade for Clean pre-1970 origional CJ5 or Cj8 Scrambler. $5500 negotiable”

    Check the pans under the engine and the rear end…lots of stains on the floor…Still a good buy? I was interested in this jeep…

    I think it would be unfair to judge too much from that picture. You really need to slide under and see how much gunk has collected underneath. Even then, it might just need to better sealed, which is a pretty cheap thing to do.

    To me, the biggest issue is how it runs and drives and stops. Also, the rear floor might be poor, but check the front too.

    Finally, given the motor isn’t original, the potential for restoration is limited, which reduces value.
