“1942model Wyllis CJ2A jeep. Needs paint, brake lines and fuel tank. Engine and transmission are good. Runs smooth. $1,500 or will consider trade for a good, used 4 wheeler.”
Looks like a CJ3A by the windshield? CJ’s didn’t start until 45-46. This is a CJ. Maybe a CJ2a but with newer windshield.
I’m pretty sure the year is wrong on this. For some reason, when people don’t know the year, they often call them either 1941s or 1942s. Yeah, one can never tell just by the windshield, as they were swapped quite often. After lightening up the pic in photoshop I feel like I can just make out the bow holders on the side, which would indicate this is a CJ-2A. However, without more evidence, I will have to defer to the seller and call it a CJ-2A π
