UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000. Has a replacement body.
(11/12/2011) I think this is a M-38 with ‘Willys’ painted onto the hood.
“Willys Jeep needing to sell it has a warn overdrive new body new short block no bondo or rust at all Has no top needs rebuilt carb and brake master cylinder road worthy lights all new and working turn signals good seats redone”
Just thought I’d pass this on; emailed the owner for more info jeep is actually a CJ3A with a new body. still not a bad deal but not a true M38,

Do M38’s have a glove-box? And don’t M38’s have a snorkel cutout in the hood? Wonder if this body does not have ID plates as I would think he’d be able to identify and know the year.
Yes, M-38’s have the narrow glove box and gauge cluster as shown on this jeep. However, I can’t tell if the hood is original or not. I also can’t see a battery box lid on the cowl, so this might be a replacement body. The seller might know the year, but just didn’t post it.
