UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Check out the the bulges in the entry points on both the passenger and driver’s sides. Somehow the body or entire frame & body have been bent down in the center. Add to this strange issue is the claim this rig only has 17k miles or so. Then there are the modified steps and modified gas tank inlet. I’d run the other direction on this one.
“1946 WILLYS JEEP
1ST YEAR FOR CIVILIAN JEEP
ORIGINAL 17,231 MILES
SAME OWNER OVER 40 YEARS IN FLORIDA
HAS BEEN GARAGE KEPT
ORIGINAL MOTOR
ALL BOOKS AND RECORDS
STARTS RIGHT UP, DOES NEED BRAKES”
I wouldn’t tow it down the driveway with that towbar. If it is any indication of the engineering and fabrication skills that went into this rig I would run in the other direction.
Safe to say the frame is bent real good.
I believe it’s bent that way for the heavier people….or because of.
yup, those are bad looking welds on that towbar.
