(09/17/2011) “I’m selling a 1947 flat nosed willys jeep. AS IS. Great project, has a PTO, factory installed from what I know and understand. Has a spare tire and rim. The floor pans are rough, the transmission is stuck in gear. Has new tires and a rebuilt engine.
Right side below cylinder head engine # above fan is 4141232A the Other numbers you’ll want are left front chassie frame 95730 the right side fire wall CJ2A 95730.
It has been stored in a lean to for the last five years. It had belonged to my Grandpa. I have the original owners manual and a clean and clear title.
I have no time to enjoy this awesome project Am asking $3,000 firm I live north of Boise Idaho by about 80 Miles”
I love the patina of this jeep.
This is a BUY at this price. The patina is great
For some reason this has been available for a while. I’m not sure why.
That’s kind of a lonely area up there off I-84 N of Boise…. I used to go thru there on my way to Portland & Seattle. No more travel up there for me though 🙁
I’d pick that up in a second if I saw it sitting on the side of the road. At this point it would take $1500 to get a truck up there to bring it to PA…… hmmmm
If this is from Jim’s Military trucks, I would not believe a word they say. I bought a 3B from them and have had to put over two grand back into a quote” frame off restoration ” really poor craftsmanship!!
I’ve seen other pictures of this jeep. The passenger floor and tool box floor are rusted through. It hasn’t run in quite a while, and he describes it as having a stuck transmission, possibly just the clutch frozen to the flywheel. I don’t think the owner/seller knows much about it really. With all those negatives I think it is too much money, but I still really like it…I just need to go up there and see for myself…..I don’t think it is at the Military Vehicle place in Weiser, but I could be wrong…
