This might be a very good price on a DJ-3A. The seller has this listed as a 1949 DJ. I’d be very curious to learn the serial number.

My very good friend Glenn Byron, Glennstin, in Maine bought this little DJ3A, serial # 56337 10488, making it a very early 1956 model. The floor shift transmission is unusual, but may very well be a factory option, as they were in later DJ years. There is a long story behind the purchase of this DJ3A, but I will let Glenn fill you in.

Hi Dave, Glad to see you found this. I had chased it since it was posted 5/7/11 and took me 6 days to buy it. The seller refused to do a long distance deal. Wanted greenies in hand, sign title and watch it go. Friday, the 13th was my lucky day. Found distant relatives just north of Sacramento who grabbed CASH from kids college fund, and on 5/14 they drove it away. Don’t know much about it yet except it drives nicely and doesn’t terrorize my folks. It’s now in a storage locker near I-5 waiting for my hauler to bring it crosscountry. Just what I’ve been searchin’ for. Glenn
