Needs a body and some work.
“1947 Jeep CJ2A rolling chassis. Frame has rust in the usual places and needs some work. The motor needs to be rebuilt a L-134 straight-4 Go-Devil.
Transmission, transfercase, suspension, rear, four wheels (only 3 tires) . No title or registration ! For parts or project ! Cash only ! Leave me your name & number & best time to reach you and I’ll get back to you.”
I looked at this jeep in person a few months ago. Drive train is solid and would be great for a restoration. The frame has significant problems – severe structural rust-out in frame over rear passenger wheel and separation of laminated staps on top and bottom of frame rails. In my opinion frame is not salvagable. when I saw the jeep it was still together. I suggested the owner part it out and it seems he has. It had a body, a great radiator, and an original WO carb on it when i saw it. It is still definitely worth $400.
