UPDATE: Was $600. **SOLD**
“Not too long ago I purchased a 1943 Ford GPW Jeep and it came with this hardtop already on it. I got it from a farm in eastern Washington near Yakima and was used as a cold weather top. Since I am in the process in restoring the Jeep, I’m not going to put the hardtop back on my Jeep, so it has to go! The top is from a late 1920’s to early 1930’s Ford, Chevy, Dodge or Buick. It has suicide doors, original rear view mirror and a windshield wiper motor (see photos). The body is sliver in color with red primer in places. It has a hole in the roof which is covered by a plywood board, which that whole area would have been cloth at one time. The windows on the doors are plexiglass and the rest of the glass windows are cracked bedsides the one on the driver’s side. Very restorable with minimal rust and no bad cancer areas.”
That is an awesome example of metal smithing and craftsmanship! To be able to mate the two without messing up the Jeep is crazy good.It would be kind of neat to know who did it (or maybe that’s just me)!
I would have to keep the top on….one of a kind….history of someones craftsmanship….buy another body.
KEEP THE TOP!!!
It’s original, unusual, and seems well-crafted.
If my 3b had that top on it Id drive with pride,, Im going to make a top from a 74 CJ-5 fit (its steel) my 3b & it will have suicide doors,,, Wish I lived on the Left Coast ,,,
Looks like a Ford(Model A?) to me, but I’m just guessing
That is the coolest hard top I’ve ever seen. I’d keep it!
Wonder what that thing weights?
