UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000
(10/11/2010) Steve spotted this ad. It is a generator that uses a Willys engine. This one appears in good shape.
“WWII military, model PE-95-G, ser.# 893, 10 kw output, Jeep gas engine powered, Onan generator; generator has 486 total hrs., engine has less than 5 hrs. since overhaul. Unit is skid mounted, and, in normal military configuration, was in a trailer for portability. It is NOT movable by hand. Weight is about 1500 lbs. Capable of either 110 or 220 volts, normal AC power. Engine is the venerable old Willys flathead 4 cylinder. Purrs like a kitten. Has all new valves, new rings, rebuilt carb, complete new tune-up & all new gaskets on engine (**except timing case cover**). Plasti-gauged all the bearings when rehabing it & they are all in new OEM spec. Also included is a copy of one of the maintenance manuals which, unfortunately, does not include basic operation info. I’m selling it because it is the old 40’s/50’s technology & honestly, it’s to complicated for this ol’ boy!! Will consider trade for part/all of price for any of the following:* 5 or 6′ 3 pt. hitch auger type snowblower, * VW based sandrail or unfinished project (notice rt. rear of pic1) or substantial parts for same, * Modern-idiot proof-5or 6 kw portable generator,”
