This supposedly ran before the battery and radiator was removed. I suspect the rear panel was replaced with a non-tailgate panel at some point.

“his is a 1951 Jeep CJ3A. This was my father’s jeep that he partially restored. The jeep yard drives.

Engine runs well but smokes when warm. Possibly the oil control rings are stuck. My dad took the engine out and had it rebuilt but never fully reinstalled. The Jeep sat in the barn for about 10 years without running. Pictures of the engine bay were taken before I put back together with all new ignition components.

Electrics have been converted to a 12 volt system. (started is still 6v)

Fuel tank is currently of of the vehicle, I didn’t want to put gas in the tank and have it sit. Tank looks clean.

Brakes work, I installed a new master cylinder. Looks like all new hoses and brake lines on the front. I know that the front axle was rebuilt and new axle joints installed.

Body and frame are very solid. There has been some body puddy used. Body puddy is cracked on the tailgate area but the sheet metal looks sound. Surface rust behind seats is because there was a carpet laying there. Comes with a new black soft cab still in box. Jeep will need a bit of TLC to put 100% back together. Have Tittle. Other CJ3 parts and plow available for additional $.”
