Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This project is puzzling me as it has the cowl vent hole, but a 3A shouldn’t have it.

“Willy’s Jeep -Mid 1940’s rolling chassis project sold on a bill of sale with parts (as seen in photos) related to this Jeep. Complete power train and engine turns over freely – frame and body solid. Body was sand blasted and zinc primed by my father who owned this for many years and was in process of rebuilding it before his passing”
Besides cowl vent, it’s got a 2A fuel pump and front engine plate plus a CJ5 grill.
Would a CJ-5 grille fit an earlier body?
Contours don’t match for the fenders and hood. You’d have to ‘bastardize’ it to make it fit.
