Listed as a 1942 MB, it seems to actually be a CJ-2A (most likely a ’46).

“Original Tub & Parts from 1942 Willy’s Overland MB Jeep.
$2,000 obo for all of it.
All original parts. Trying to sell all at once and not part out.
Must pick up and load yourself.
– Tub: Good. Has some rusted areas and degradation in corners. Mostly sound. Still restore-able with work.
– Seats: Good. Reupholstered around 2012. Minor tears. Includes front and rear.
– Hood: Very Good. Cosmetic rust on hinges, but mechanically sound.
– Windshield: Excellent: body is great. Glass has cracks.
– Front grille: Very Good
– Fenders: Good. All 4.
– Fuel tank: Good. No leaks.
– Starter: Fair. Has new brushes, works.

There seems to be a lot of people selling jeeps these days that have no idea what they’re selling!
It certainly does seem that way.
Remember, to 90% of people, even otherwise knowledgeable CAR people, a Jeep is a Jeep is a Jeep.
They don’t know…or care… about the facts, let alone the seemingly “minor” differences between a MB, CJ or even a Japanese, French or Indian “Jeep”.
Maybe they are being sold by folks who inherited a bunch of stuff.
Also, throughout the old car hobby, we see a lot of stuff “being sold for a friend”…which seems to be an excuse for not knowing what they are selling (and giving them “plausible deniability” for bad info).
I’d add to that some folks don’t have the time, desire, and/or knowledge to research what they have. So, they take a guess and hope they are close enough (sometimes based on what the second cousin to an Uncle’s sister told them). In these cases, the reality is that the seller is trying to get rid of a jeep (to free up room, for the want of money, inherited and has no interest, etc) and really doesn’t care what it is.
