Classic CJ2A body and chassis with upgrades for trail performance and modern-ish convenience, 100% road legal, with clean NC title.
Body: Vintage 1946 CJ2A, various repaired areas and patch panels, structure is ¾”x1- ½” x .080” wall rectangle tubing, poly body mounts, vintage hood with heat scoops, vintage front fenders and grille, vintage windshield with original glass and PA state inspection sticker from 1979, full paint with Rustoleum Gloss Army Green (easy touch-up after trail contact), 2” body lift, clearanced rear wheel openings
Frame: Vintage CJ2A with gussets, new spring perches, 6-point roll cage with rock sliders, custom transmission cross member, cross bars, and rear underbody winch mount
Engine: 1949 Mercury FLATHEAD V8! Full rebuild ~10 years ago, new pistons, bearings, cam, gaskets, fully machined and balanced rotating assembly, custom billet crank and accessory pulleys, Offenhauser dual carb intake, 2x Holley 94s with adjustable main jets, K&N filters, 180 Amp PowerMaster alternator, dual 2-1/4″ exhaust
Transmission: T-98A ‘granny low’ 4-speed with fresh bearings and cluster rollers
Transfercase: Rebuilt Dana 18 with Dana 20 (big hole) case, TeraLow 3.15:1 gearset, converted to single stick
Front Axle: Dana 27, 5.38 gears, LockRight locker, manual hubs
Rear Axle: Fresh rebuild! Dana 44, 5.38 gears, LockRight locker
Tires: 36 x 12.50 x 15 Super Swamper SX with matching spare, on steel rock crawler simulated bead locks, 2″ aluminum wheels spacers
Suspension: Rancho 1” lift springs, skyjacker long travel shocks, TeraFlex Revolver Shackles, poly extended bump stops
Steering: Saginaw power steering, DJ5 steering column, box and pump (new) from ’74 Nova (steers with a pinky finger even in mud!!), 6061 Aluminum Hex tie rod and drag link, stainless steel high angle spherical bearings, skyjacker steering stabilizer
Cooling: Griffin Aluminum radiator with SPAL 16” fan and electronic control
Lights: Halogen headlights, LED markers and rear taillights, LED reverse lights, rear LED strobe, LED offroad lights on front
