   Two and a half years ago I answered an add like this.
   52 military jeep $5000
   Photos texted to me turned out to be a 52M38 with a Kelly hard top. Made the one way 8 hr drive to take a look at it and picked up the rust free California jeep for $3000.
   Followup on these lazy adds if your in the market.

   You have to love ads where they misspell the make of the vehicle.
   Kurt is right, you can pick up great deals if the seller doesn’t know…or care…About what they have.
   In the next few years we’ll be seeing a lot of estate sales, widows or kids just want the stuff gone.

   The flip side of that is unknowing people believe what someone tells them (It’s worth a fortune”) or worse they watch an auction in TV and think all models are worth big bucks.
   I saw an early Bronco at an auction, not bad but needed work. A few weird mods, the left side finish was rough to The touch…they said it was original paint, but Ford did not use 100 grit sandpaper for body prep.
   The guy demanded $50k for it because he saw one sell on Barrett-Jackson for that.

   HAHAHAHA — THIS IS HILARIOUS !! — ” MACVILLLE ” IS WHERE I LIVED IN 1971 , MCKINLEYVILLE , HUMBOLDT COUNTY , JUST UP HIGHWAY 101 ABOUT 20 MILES IS PATRICKS POINT STATE PARK — RIGHT ON THE BEACH — I SPOTTED MY 48 TRUCK IN A FIELD NEAR THE ENTRANCE — FOR SALE — $200 DID THE DEAL — THE L-134 ENGINE WAS LAYING IN THE FIELD IN FRONT OF IT — IT HAD A BAD NUMBER 3 CYLINDER — THE PREVOUS OWNER IN ARCATA WAS A CRAB FISHERMAN — HE MUST HAVE BEAT STEW OUT OF IT ?? — I TOWED IT BACK TO ” MACVILLE ” AND GOT BUSY ON IT — I HAD MY 51 SEDAN DELIVERY THERE SO FOR SOME REASON I TRANSPLANTED THE F-134 OUT OF THE PANEL INTO MY NEW MODEL 4WD — I THINK THE REASON WAS , I WANTED A 4WD TO EXPLORE THE AWESOME WILD HUMBOLDT COUNTY AREA — I HAD TO PUT NEW METAL BRAKE LINES IN TOO , THEY WERE RUSTY FROM CRAB FISHING — DID THE BRAKES — IT ALL WORKED OUT GOOD — THAT TRUCK CLIMBED LIKE A MOUNTAIN GOAT !! — I WOULD OFTEN USE IT DOWN ON CLAM BEACH — IT WAS LEGAL THEN TO DRIVE ON THE BEACH — GREAT FUN , DRIVE DOWN THE SURF-LINE IN 4WD LOW AND PULL THE CHOKE OUT SLIGHTLY , IT WOULD DRIVE ITSELF !! — I WOULD RIDE IN THE BACK , IN THE BED AND DRINK RED ERIC BEER FROM DENMARK — MY GIRLFRIEND WORKED AT A DELI IN ARCATA SO FREE IMPORTED BEER !! — DATELINE 2022 , I HEAR MCKINLEYVILLE IS A REAL HELL-HOLE DRUG AREA NOW , IT WAS A SORT OF RUN DOWN OAKIE AREA IN THE 70’S ?? — I STILL HAVE THE MODEL 4WD , ITS RIGHT HERE ON MY CASCADE WILDERNESS RANCH — STILL RUNS PERFECT !! , BUT I’M A PROFESSIONAL !! — HAHAHAHA !!
