Hi, I bought this CJ2A a couple of weeks back. As it turns out, its actually a 1945. The original engine and the column shift were removed somewhere along the way, but the serial tags are all intact, including the frame tag, and all matching. The serial numbers 111xx lead me to believe this is a 1945 and there are other details like the full float rear end, the tool stamped drivers side of the tub, and the ‘lug’ for the column shifter on the steering column that also lead me to believe this to be the case. ‘Almost 100% original’, not the case, but I see it as a diamond in the rough.
By the way, I nailed a large deer with this Jeep on the trailer behind my truck at 75MPH on the way home with it! LOL
