Listed as a 1963 CJ-5, this may actually be a 1952 or early 1953 M-38A1. This includes an overdrive.

Looks like some rust, Husky Overdrives are next to impossible to find parts for, not the same as Warn or Saturn units. Planetary gears, sun gear and inside drive gear are different tooth pitch, parts do not interchange with Warn / Saturn. I’d want to see inside the trans, looks like its been sitting out in weather, rain can enter trans through shifter top and ruin gears.

Good catch on it being a Husky. I missed that. I’ve never seen them side-by-side to know the internal differences.
