UPDATE: Todd shared a sign that matches the Jeep sign which appears in the lower part of the ad at the bottom of this post. I’ve not seen one quite like this, so I imagine it was only available in Canada?
The sign was double sided, but he separated the halves so he could hang them on the wall. Here are some pics:
This is the back of the sign. It was made by Tek, a company still in business in Canada.
=======================
This March 1957 ad in an unknown magazine highlighted the FC-150 distributers.
I have the original dealership sign as pictured in this ad. It came out of Quebec and was manufactured by a sign company in Toronto that has since moved to Brantford, Ontario (TEK Signs). I can post photos if you wish.
Hi Todd,
I’d enjoy seeing and sharing the pics. Feel free to email pics to d@deilers.com and I’ll get them posted.
Thanks!
– Dave
I suppose Todd is pretty attached to his sign. If not….. Very cool piece of Jeep history!
Thank you, Craig. Yes it is a very nice piece of Jeep history indeed.
I have been collecting mostly AMC era Jeep signs and displays now for several years and thanks to a friend was told about this sign being available for purchase. When I saw it I had to have it. This one is likely my favourite of all my dealer signs.
