Listed as a 1947 CJ-3A, it looks more like a modified MB/GPW.

“This is a jeep model cj3a, a little hard to start but runs and drives, engine is a 283, bought as a project but don’t have the time or money to work in it. Comes with roll bars and rear seat. It is exempt from smog, odometer and seat belts. Asking 3000”
Hi All, Does anyone know where to get rims like the ones on this Jeep? I recently got a 53 CJ3b with the wagon type wheels but I always preferred this wide regular looking rims. Had them once a long time ago on a Wagoneer.
Frame looks WW2 (rear shock mounts)…body looks GPW (rectangle tool box lock indent)…Might be a good start for some one…
Steve, I believe those are Kelsey Hayes rims. Here’s more information about them: http://www.ewillys.com/2013/07/05/4-kelsey-hayes-rims-on-ebay/
They are popular and not easy to find. You’ll have to watch eBay, Craigslist, Facebook or forums such as the http://www.earlycj5.com/xf_cj5/index.php.

Craig, I wondered how you identified the shock mounts, but then I realized that I’d posted a pic that shows the bed and the GPW tool lids (not sure how I didn’t see that — guess I was focused elsewhere when I looked at that pic).
Pic of side view shows top of rear shocks (vertical to frame)…
