UPDATE: Still Available.
(10/13/2020) The body seems in pretty good shape, though it likely has had some work and newer paint.

“1953 cj3b. First year for the high hood Jeeps. This is a project. Hood has some dents, and floor pans need patched. Tub has minimal rust, but is in very nice condition for age. You can still see the original green paint under the red. Nice pair of original seat frames. I have two f-head engines for it. The original engine is stuck, and the second engine turns over. Transmission is decent, but should be gone through. Frame is in perfect condition. I do not have a windshield frame, or tailgate for it. Clean title. Would be perfect candidate for restoration. $1500”
Still available? Located in Indiana.
Hi Rick,
This appears to still be for sale. You’ll need to contact the seller via Facebook (and you’ll need an FB account for that): https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/376508033735234/
Best of luck,
– Dave
Dave,
Thanks for your help. I’m very interested in this Jeep. I’m 73 years young, I don’t do Facebook. My son attempted to contact this person for me. He could only get what I got. Location Chicago. I’m located in Muncie Indiana. Could you make contact for me ? My email address is rahusmc@aol.com
If not I understand. Thanks for your help! Rick
Hi Rick,
I don’t blame you for avoided Facebook. I would, too, if I could. Alas, more and more jeeps for sale are landing on Facebook.
There’s not much more that I can do if you son has already contacted the seller and received a response. I don’t know the seller, but I do know that some sellers just aren’t very helpful.
I have also made it a policy to not act as a go-between, unless I know the seller, because I have had a few experiences where that didn’t go well (buyer tries to lowball, which mades me look bad).
Thanks and have a Merry Christmas,
– Dave
Dave,
Thanks, my son was not able to contact the seller. He only got as far as this listing. He’s not familiar with the market place on face book. That was my reason for trying to enlist your help. Thanks again, was good talking with you.
Thanks, Merry Christmas Rick
Still trying to make contact with this seller. I would appreciate any help in my dilemma. My email is rahusmc@aol.com Thank you !
